Default LC Parts are in the US?

My brand new 2021 LC Convertibles power mirrors only works on the driver side. I went to the dealer, they order the replacement. Today I came in to get the replacement. They told me they recieved the wrong side. They will order it will deliver overnight on Monday. What a bummer. But at least we know we have LC Parts in the US.

My front windshield had to come from Japan....but they Expressed it so it took less than a week to arrive.

Interesting, I remember a guy had his convertible top problem. And his dealer told him like a month to get the part from Japan.

Ok today I got the new mirror replace. It took them actually 2 hours to do the work. But they keep me in the shop 4 hours. Bought the Lexus for less time in the shop compare to my previous BMW. But so far I been in the shop 3 times already since I bought my car in 10/16.

No way! Lucky! I'm on month #3 waiting for my windshield replaced (also from Japan), and just had it delayed yet again. And it's the largest Lexus dealer is SoCal too, not some podunk.

I got an RX loaner for the week I was waiting.

Did they give you a loaner while you’re waiting for your windshield to arrive?

Yeah, I know, it's crazy. I guess it's just the whole supply chain mess. And isn't like Longo Lexus doesn't know what they're doing either... And since it's technically "Collision" center and not "Service" center for cracked windshield repair, no loaner. Every day I track the passage of time by the slow spread of the crack across my windshield like some sort of tree ring dating lol

Do you have a coupe or a vert? I wonder why it took that long. The LC is already out since 2017, so I assume Lexus must have plenty of spare parts for it. So the LC windshield can only replace by Lexus? That make me paranoid not to drive my LC more often like I am doing now.

Coupe. And yes, you need OEM windshield because of the integrated camera in the rear view mirror assembly.

Oh, do you know how much it cost for OEM windshield after the warranty ran out?

Dunno... Once I actually get the windshield in, I'll see the cost, but going through insurance for the crack.
