bugs, quirks, and usability issues
Thanks! That's where mine currently is defaulting. In the past, it has defaulted on other screens. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Looking forward to your report.
Apologies if you guys know of this UTube site by "Northside Lexus" but for those that don't then you may well find various useful vids.
The one I found most useful was the "deep dive" covering the LC i.e. this one:
I have to say I found some very useful guidance on matters that I didn't even know about. Anyway, for what it's worth, I hope it assists.

It's a very weird, utterly inscrutable system. Mine has defaulted for days or weeks at a time on tire pressures, fuel efficiency/range, gear selection and that gravitational setting. I have to believe that something is causing it to change and default with something new from time to time, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what it might be.
Mine always defaults to whatever screen I left it at. Both the center screen, and the optional one that slides left.
Sometimes these odd electrical gremlins can be squelched by disconnecting the battery for some time, then letting the car reboot. With the Corvettes 10 minutes. The LC might be 30.

I tried multiple times and screens and it always seems to default back to whatever screen I left it on last. It could be a setting somewhere but I haven't found it so far.
Nope. That was a very logical suggestion and it excited me (I'm mostly retired - it doesn't take much to excite me), but it didn't work. At least not yet. OTOH, when I started the car, it magically and perversely defaulted for the first time in weeks to the screen I left activated when I last shut it off (last night). At this point, I think it's just fracking with me.

I keep thinking people are riding my bumper, is it just me or is it the car? Sitting at red lights I can barely see the hood of the car behind me and when driving around 40mph the headlights of the car behind me are not visible.
I just figured people thought I was someone important (athlete, movie star etc.) and were trying to get a better look at me!
Best one this week was a Mini-Van who tried to pass me in a lane that was ending.

[QUOTE=bitkahuna;11054205]first off, i LOVE my LC!
and from everything i'd seen/read before, i expected some 'idiosyncrasies' or quirks and limitations.
here's a few... let me know if you have solutions, workaround, the same, or anything else you can add!
the outside door handles are cool, but i really don't like the operation much. press the indent to get the handle to come out, then open the door. that's ok, but when i close the door and the handle's still out, i get nervous pressing the handle to get it to go back in as you have to use quite a bit of force. so instead i typically just use the key fob lock button instead.
I was talking with the service rep about the failing door handles, and he said (maybe blowing smoke) that pushing the handles back in was bad for the actuators and could cause failure. So now, I too, use the lock function rather than pushing.
