Default radio acts weird after bluetooth phone...

I answered my phone via car bluetooth. I hanged up the phone, All media platforms (i.e. FM/AM radio, XM radio, bluetooth music) were all muted. i turned up the volume and got no sound. i stopped and turned off the car. Restarted the car and all music platforms played again. I am glad I was not on the freeway, otherwise I got no music until I made a detour stop. Anyone else encountered this behaviour?

This issue has occurred with me on occasion. My dealer couldn't find a problem and it never occurred while they had it (of course). When it does occur, I press and hold the PWR/VOL button for the infotainment system until it reboots. You can do that while you're driving.

^^ Same here. Happened once in my LC and twice in my Sienna. Stopping and turning the car off and on, or holding down the power button to perform the reboot (radio volume ****) - fixes it.

The reboot I described won't do a factory reset.

Are you charging the phone with the USB jack or using the 12v and an adapter?
The direct USB connection is quick and easy but it then confuses the parallel
roles, Bluetooth for the phone calls and hardwired USB for the media.
If you use the 12v to charge then the phone can easily segue between phone and media.

no power connection. i leave my phone in my jacket pocket. I don't drive far enough to need charging. On long trips, I use the USB in the center console and sometime use Apple Carplay.

This problem came up with phone in my pocket.

Are you answering and hanging up the phone calls using the steering wheel button
and/or Nav screen icons? If you answer using the phone itself you are not going to
connect to and through the Bluetooth (and it is illegal at least in IL, handheld device).
When it is time to restore the Bluetooth media connection it may be confused.
