Got it painted for $60 at a local shop. Did anyone install one just using the 3M tape or drilled holes?
The body shop said the 3M foam tape creates a gap where dust and water get in and collects and fails in 6 months so I should drill holes instead.
IS looks complicated to do. If it is an available oem accessory then it should have pre drill holes.
I noticed on the road today that every ES and Camry have a rear lip Should have been standard for this car unless the customer got the retractable spoiler.
I bought and installed a similar TRD lip spoiler. It came with a bolt, but I removed it and installed the spoiler with just the tape. Been on there over 2 years now with no issues. Pics and example install video (post #27) links here:

Sounds good. I think most people just use plain rubbing alcohol - which seems to work fine. My Lexus service department installs these all the time, and they just use alcohol, as does the popular auto customizing shop in my area. I think either way, you'll be fine. 3M molding tape is impressively reliable.

Where would suggest put on the 3M tape?
Entire bottom, middle only, or along the edges?
