Default LC 500 vs. RCF in MPG

2018 LC 500 with 1,166 miles on the odometer as of 7/24/20

2015 RCF with 10,013 miles on the odometer as of 7/24/20

So now that I’ve had my LC 500 for over a year and my RCF for five and a half years, I turned over 1,100 on the LC and 10,000 on the RCF both last week. I’ve been driving them both the same this year on the same roads. 18.3 mpg in the RCF and 18.0 in the LC 500. I still like driving my RCF more by a hair. I still get thumbs up in both cars whenever I drive them.

nice
need to drive more!! I thought I don’t drive much compared to my colleagues, I drive about 4000-6000 miles per year, you surely beat me on this aspect.....

btw, my insurance (State Farm) automatically drops from $256 to $96 for 2 cars since last month due to covid
Still the same coverage.....

I have all four of my vehicles insured with State Farm and I have not received anything. I’m paying over $400 for six months on each. Perfect driving record with no accidents.

I don't use the computer, I use the trip meter and mentally do the math when I fill up. It's somewhere between 20 and 22 MPG. I usually drive in Custom mode. I have it set up as Normal for powertrain, so when on the FW it will shift above 8th. The suspension I set up as Sport. Sometimes around town I'll use Sport mode. I find Sport+ to be too aggressive. And that's saying something - I tend to drive aggressively.

99% of my driving is in and around my city. I have never driven on I-5 or any freeway in either the RCF or LC. Sport + mode half of the time, only manual mode about 5%, I’m not used to shifting gears on my steering wheel yet.

S+ mode gives 16 mpg, very nice mpg indeed. I assume I don’t need to worry about has to go to gas station daily. A big thumb up!

A highly potential new owner here!

Wife’s birthday in coming in mid August, and she is looking at pearl necklaces at $2500-3000.......my biggest obstacle for now to get a new LC500..... lol....
