It seems odd that the noise from sound pipes can't be muffled by driver choice. Yes, I know Lexus worked hard to pipe the noise inside the cabin.https://blog.lexus.co.uk/lexus-lc-50...cry-of-angels/
But I prefer a quiet environment .And so do some other Lexus owners :https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...r-disable.html
Our GS and IS colleagues disconnect and plug the sound pipe at source. Some fit aftermarket hoses to address the issue.Anything like this for the LC ?
Creative GS fellows fit a Japan-sourced part to muffle the fuel pump noise:https://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid...ote.aspx#title
Interested to read of any specific parts that worked .
I know - 'To Each Their Own' - but I can't fathom that anyone would want to silence the beautiful music that our naturally aspirated V8s produce. I catch myself, more often than not, turning off all music/radio/podcasts on my sound system and revel in the harmonious mechanical sounds our LCs produce. Occasionally downshift unnecessarily just to listen and get a grin. The sound is one of the best features it has.
Sounds like a LS might be more suited to your tastes but I won't judge.

I totally agree with you, and I want quiet. Usually. And one reason I traded in my Vette.
My wife's Lincoln has noise cancellation and it's always quiet. But that's LuLu Lincoln, not Elsie LC.
Running aftermarket headers and exhaust, in addition NITTO NT05 tires, make for a noisy ride. I’ve been searching for a way to make the ride a little quieter, But I didn’t want to have to change anything about my exhaust and I don’t want to buy new tires just yet. Shortly after reading this thread I started doing a little more research. Other posters on CL forums have done resonator deletes to different Lexus vehicles, so I figured the parts would have to be a close fit. I took a gamble and ordered the intake air resonator for the RX350. It was cheap, so I wouldn’t be out much money anyway. It was a perfect fit! After removing the stock resonator parts, this cap fit in perfectly. The cabin noise has been reduced significantly, but you can still enjoy the engine and exhaust sounds. In fact, I feel like it enables you to appreciate the details of the engine sound more than before. It was an easy swap. All you need is a 10 mm socket/driver/ratchet, a Phillips head screwdriver, and some channel locks.
Very interesting but i don't entirely understand. You said others have done a resonator delete, but it seems you added a resonator? What does this part do, what does it replace, why does it make it quieter, and any down side to doing this?
yes, it is odd that the part is called a resonator, but it the caps off the communication between the air intake and the sound generator which goes through the firewall. The long tube pictured in my reply is what communicates from the air intake to inside the cabin. The part that I replaced it with interrupts that communication by capping the end off. The part is just a hollow box.
so this is the crazy long snake you took out, right? and how did you cap it off at the firewall?
Yes, that is the piece that I took out.
As far as capping the entry into the firewall, I’m still working on that. You can probably plug it up with anything, heck, a rubber stopper would probably do LOL
Edit - to call that pipe a sound generator is a misnomer - it doesn't generate sound, it transfers sound from the right intake to the cabin.
Lou
yes the gs forum link in first post here is an informative thread
and while it may not be making sound, it's designed to amplify and transfer sound into the cabin through the firewall, when throttle vacuum reaches a certain level.
