so i finally got the rx intake pipe cap and installed it. took out the "sound pipe snake" that pipes sound into the car. right now the small piece of pipe still there into the firewall has an old sponge in it ti plug it up i'll find a proper plug like anchaf3 did soon.
i was a bit nervous doing this and my own stupid fault i didn't take a sequence of pics before and during so i could replace everything should i have needed to do so, but it's REALLY not hard, as anchaf3 said.
so, the result? GREAT. i don't need BLARING sound in the car when the rpm's climb on acceleration. now it's more muted but still plenty loud enough. VERY pleased.

Thank you, Sir. Can I ask if you have a video / sound clip from the inside of the vehicle when accelerating? I agree with you 100% that for me, its all about the sound on the inside being quite and the outside sounding good. you can dm me directly for my email if you like. thanks dave
I realize this is a very old thread. Does anyone have a part # for the 350 RX air intake resonator that was placed to block off the sound input into the vehicle.
Also being a member of the Maserati community, (2014 Granturismo), another beauty that has a glorious natty V-8 symphony...I find this thread to be completely "bonkers."
But, to each their own, lol.
i'll find a proper plug like anchaf3 did soon.
