Lexus low pressure fuel pump recall
I've been in contact with the central zone office for my GX 460, I'm driving a rental car for 2 months now until they can replace my fuel pump. I've been told early June before they have the fuel pump at the dealership. I would call your dealers service manager and get on the list. I did receive the first recall notice a couple weeks ago in the mail. I went through this with both high and low pressure pumps on my LC 500 performance package, it was a fire hazard then and it took 2 months to receive the pumps. With the factories shut down due to the virus, who knows how long it's going to take. I got into a shouting match with the GM of Lexus of St. Louis. They told me, I would be the first to receive the pumps since I ordered and took delivery of their first LC 500. I found out, they were installing the pumps on their inventory before taking care of a customer who purchased 9 new Lexus vehicles from them. Lexus said they were going to give me the equivalent of 2 car payments, which never happened. That's why I sold my LC 500 and purchased a Porsche 911 GT3 6M. I couldn't drive my LC 500 for 2 months and they made it difficult to get a rental car, they also wouldn't store my vehicle and now I'm dealing with the exact same issue with my GX 460. Good luck!
Flowrider,
I received a letter directly from Lexus about three weeks ago with the recall notice with my VIN for my LC 500 stating Lexus “was preparing a remedy” and I would be notified when the remedy was available. So I will call my dealer and make sure I am on the list for when the part arrives.
I’m left to wonder if the 2020 models are being built with defective pumps or has Lexus “already prepared a remedy” to use their language.

Run your VIN with the NTSB website if you haven't received a notice in the mail from Lexus. I would just call 1-800-25Lexus and have them check your VIN if you haven't received a letter from Lexus.

FYI
I just received my notice from Lexus stating that the Recall is ready. It requests that we contact our dealer to make the appointment. I made my appointment for July1 (for my convenience). My dealer (Lexus of Albuquerque) stated that he will order the parts and he should get them in about a week. Loaner car will be provided as the fix will take the better part of a day.

I had my fuel pump replacement last Thursday. I picked the car up Friday noon, drove three miles down the interstate and the fuel gauge dropped from Half full to totally empty and the Low fuel light came on. I turned back to the dealership and upon examining the car, the tech Determined that the fuel level sensor had become stuck and had to be fixed and the electronics reset. The fuel smell in the car was very strong because they had to remove some of the fuel. I had to leave windows down (in my garage) for four days to have the smell diminish.
The NHTSA Recall No. is 20V-012.

My LC was also produced in April 2018. I took delivery on 5/25/2018. My LC was NOT part of the earlier recall. That might be where the difference is.
