This is a lot of work and money for 3 10nths of a second and a lively feeling in the seat of your pants!? The 2025 will blow the previous LC off the road 0-60 and quarter mile.
What do you mean? afaik it's the same engine with the same power? Did they change something I don't know about?
Strong rumors at this point of the 2025 being all electric.
It may well be a year from now?
Sorry. Complete and total BS.
Most car companies are Quickly figuring out the total fraud of EVs, at least with the non existent
full charging system in the U.S. Most are quietly backtracking this Oh we're going All In, NO ICE in 5 years stupidity.
The U.S. Gvt has had 8 bil for 2 years now just to put in zillions of nationwide chargers.
They have installed exactly Zee ro.
It doesn't matter how fast it charges if there are no operational chargers.
You cannot swing a dead cat over your head and not hit some Disaster article of some car guy trying to do X long trip with or live X weeks with an EV who doesn't end up screaming Give me back my real car before it's all over.
Some car companies may end up sailing right up onto the rocks of bankruptcy if they don't stop listening to Yoko Ono singing the EV siren song. Yeah YOU Jaguar.
Not to mention Mr. Toyodasan was one of the first car CEOs to go Yeah, not so fast on this All The Way EV sign on foolishness.
If you absolutely Must have some kind of V8 bellwether, As long as Lexus has V8s in their IMSA race car, they'll have them in their consumer cars too.
PS; The V8 race car that's a Leader in it's class.

So after reading the whole thread, i came to the conclusion that:
1- no one did an actual dyno run before and after supported by dyno sheets
2- no one did 0-60 runs using Dragy or Racebox supported by pictures of the results to show performance gains.
I appreciate all the efforts in conducting this experiment, and the great detailed posts, but its around ~$5K project including installation! Its not a joke! So why there are no dyno sheets and pictures of 0-60 results? That will be amazing to see instead of butt dyno feelings!
3- Also, I noticed no one did the ring and pinion swap instead of changing the whole differential, despite being 80% cheaper to do. ($1K in parts compared to $4.5K). The ring and pinion swap is what I am interested to do, but I have zero experience in such mechanical projects so I wanted to check if someone else did it for the LC and it worked flawlessly without issues.
4- Finally, I wonder why no one chose to go with the LS500h differential, isn’t going to give better results?
Again big thanks to OP and breplica for sharing their project results, and looking forward for more feedback from others that successfully conducted this project

I mean changing the diff isn’t going to create more horsepower for the same reason using a longer lever won’t make your muscles bigger.
Diffs are notoriously difficult to setup and can cause gear whine if off by just a little. Swapping the entire assembly can be done by any tech in less time with fewer chances of problems.
Heard about the site Amayama from a lot of the toyota forums. Decided to give it a try and get the rear diff from them. 2677 shipped which is way cheaper than buying from a dealer in the US. Was a little skeptical but thought it would be worth a chance in case any future LC owners want to get this part at a better price. Arrived on sunday. Whenever I get it installed i’ll make a youtube video
