LC Glitches
I have LC 500 2018 model. I bought it one year old and have really enjoyed this car. However it has some "glitches". I would be interested if any other owners have experienced or know how to repair these items. BTW have had Dealer and Regional Mechanical Manager test the car computer and did not found anything out of place, but issues still exist.
Questions:
I am wondering if door handle should open automatically, when you approach car, with fob in pocket? Other models, interior and exterior lighting comes on when approaching car, and it unlocks according to settings. It seems like it should since handles are recessed, and in the dark on a black car is very hard to find. (Not Lexus norm)
The door handle light is dim at best, cannot even tell unless u look under handle. In the dark there is no outline of recessed handle, much less a pool of light like all my other cars. Or mirror pool lighting.
Infotainment, does not show album cover in drive or reverse, only symbol of program. When in park, IT WORKS PROPERLY! (BTW this is the second infotainment center installed, thinking it may indicate some sort of short or electrical problem).
Navigation screen: When entering expressway, turn list is activated automatically (even if navigation is not on). On daily drives this is not important and I prefer screen to stay in my preferred position, which is Map/Music Information. Is there a setting to set this? I have to change every time I start car.
When Navigation is engaged, the turn list comes on automatically. This area can also be set for compass, and or bold arrow, with miles, and direction. This also shows on the HUD. Great feature. After each start, although navigation stays engaged, the turn list returns, and i have to manually put radio back on. (My RC had no such issues, and operated beautifully). On GS model with wider screen, this breaks down into three sections, map, turn list, music info. Nice. I am wondering if their is a short or low amp component, that is not holding settings as they should.
Has anyone experienced this? Any recommendation or a guru at Lexus I can post this too?
I have owned 7 Lexus, SC, RC, LC no problems with any of them happy to say. But this one may be my favorite. I'm a GT person, and love the comfort, luxury along with plenty of power and a lot of pizzazz! This is one fabulous automobile. Recently completed a 20 day, 2500 mile trip, expressway as well as two lane roads in mountains with hills and curves, which was perfect for this automobile. Expressway driving is great, car feels like a larger model, heavy, comfortable. The Distronic cruise is fantastic, and makes long jaunts more relaxing on expressways. I would happily do that again, what a wonderful car to travel in.

Handle does not extend when approaching the car, but interior lights do illuminate.

There is no puddle light on the bottom of the exterior mirrors like there was on my ISF.
