Default Let’s Talk Midpipes

Any experience with swapping out just the mid-pipe on the LC?
For now, I’d like to keep the axle-back but was hoping to change out the midpipe to open it up a little, get it to growl a little more. I may do headers and the full exhaust at some point, but was wondering what just the midpipe feels and sounds like.

Also I see 2 brands, resonated or cat options. Other than significant price difference, any other experience?

PPE: $900

GTHAUS: $2400

Thanks guys. Just took delivery and tons of stuff on the way for it. New project!
Went from ISF > GSF > LC

Those are the only two out there that we know of as well.

The midpipe would definitely make a good difference.

Let us know if we can source those for you. Can work a deal for the full PPE exhaust.

I've been a member of this forum for close to 11 years. I can only talk about my experiences and the experiences I read about from other members. For me, my ISF has a full PPE long tube header and dual mode exhaust system. Their quality is impeccable and the HP improvements are real. In those 11 years I can not recall a poster ever complaining about workmanship, fitment or power issues related to PPE products.

Thanks for the replies. I too had an ISF and had great results from PPE headers.

Any input on the 3 options?

1. straight through midpipe
2. midpipe with resonator
3. midpipe with cats

I’m trying to decide between 1 and 2, wondering how much resonance and drone option 1 would have.

Dear OP, just a small side request, can you please share with us through a separate thread your thoughts after using both the GSF and LC?

I am highly interested to know your experience with both and how do you feel moving to the LC after some time with the GSF. Thanks

Will do. Give me a couple weeks so I can spend more seat time in the LC for a better comparison. Initial reaction is that they are very very different driving cars, even with the same engine. More to come...

@hyboost .. If you like premium Japan quality, Rowen has a mid-pipe sold separately.
