Any thoughts on this deal? 2021 model with dynamic package. 71k for 48k miles
Carfax report looks clean except did notice multiple tire changes though not sure if that’s just normal or something to look into

I see a black 2021 inspiration series being sold by a private owner with 49k miles for 71,900. Maybe use that as a bargaining chip since Inspiration in theory should carry a nominally higher value.
It is ceetainly the right color combo! Nightfall mica on black wouldve been my dream spec if that color was still available for 2026.
Steering wheel looks a little rough, likely just not cleaned well before listing. But overall a single owner 4-5yr old LC with 49k miles still has long legs ahead of it and 71k is about right on the price. I bet you couls get it for 69k as-is if you go in ready to buy. Or, since it's at a Lexus dealer you might inquire if they can CPO it since it's under the 50k mile mark barely. That would add a ton of value for you and peace of mind.

Yeah tire(s) at 3k, 12k, then about every 10k after that +/- does seem often. However the drivetrain is pretty bullet-proof and clearly the owner maintained it. If you can get them to CPO it I'd say its worth it. If not I'd want to get eyes on it personally to inspect the paint because pictures do not show that stuff well.
If it was a local owner in dallas, the roads are **** up there with potholes and nails/screws everywhere. So new tires and/or balancing frequently when doing maintenance doesnt surprise me too much. I added some thoughts to my 1st reply.
My biggest concern would be the door handle actuators so if they can CPO it that shouldnt be an issue. But 49k miles in dallas traffic mightve wrecked the paint so I'd want very close up pics or seeing it in person. But I'm **** AF and passed on two CPO 2024s, lol.

Haha 😆
they said they will CPO it, going through inspection right now
im not from the local area so I have to it shipped which is probably an additional 1.5-2k
I was going to have a friend take a look at it
just a little concerned you know
is the other private seller on a public website where I can look at their listing?
I think the dynamic package on this one tempts me since that was another 7k add on
Maybe I should pass … but tempted

I would be curious about the indicated tire rotations. A car with different tire sizes between front and rear cannot be rotated the traditional way....front to rear. The two front tires will always wear faster than the rears as a result, since normal steering wears the outside edge...hence why cars with 4 equal size tires do 5K rotations front to rear. It can be normal to the replace the fronts 2x to 1x for the rear when they cannot be rotated. If the owner had a side garage driveway requiring hard turns regularly, that accelerates front tire wear on the outer edges too. A service shop may BS you into believing it is an alignment issue. Front tires can be rotated side to side by removing the tires off the rims. Personally, I would replace them. However, if you cannot exactly match a new set of fronts to the existing rears, one generally needs to replace all four.

The black inspiration one is on autotrader. I just looked for 2021 coupes with under 50k miles.

I must say I just accepted that. But I did walk away thinking, "wonder what other items on the list were/are 'rubber stamped' rather than having to be actually manually verified by the mechanic doing the work."

My first 6 month service showed a tire rotation also. I looked cross-eyed at the service advisor and pointed. He laughed and said "that prints" on all completed work orders, as if it's a built-in default in the software for any model without an exception for the LC. edit: or anything else.

The link is dead so I wonder if it already sold. To me, that is a good price for the year/mileage IF it's in good shape. I would be VERY wary of buying sight unseen. I am very picky when it comes to a vehicle's outer condition, especially when dealing with such a pricey vehicle (YMMV, but the most expensive car I ever bought before the LC was ~$23k, before that $16k).
I checked out several used LC's before purchasing. This is already obvious, but the dealers will lie to you to make a sale. I called about a car three hours away (non-Lexus dealer), the sales guy swore the car was completely free of blemishes. I expressed how important that was to me, and explained I had already walked away when seeing cars with dents/dings/scratches. Then the sales manager made a walkaround video saying the car is immaculate. After getting this second opinion, I decided to make the 3hr drive. The front bumper had so many rock chips, it looked like a 5 o'clock shadow. Then I noticed the rear bumper had been repainted. The sales manager claims he is friends with the lady who traded it in, and she did a lot of highway driving. And he knew the rear bumper was damaged backing out of a parking lot. Obviously I left. I was pissed for wasting a day, but I'd be super-pissed to buy sight-unseen only to have the car in my example shipped to me.
Saw another LC that had been crashed and repainted, again with a clean Carfax. I didn't notice until after the test drive this time. I noticed the passenger door handle wasn't flush with the door (couple mm indented). Then noticed overspray in the door hinge area, the whole front bumper and front fender were resprayed as well. Disappointing. But pics would never reveal these things, and neither will the commission-based salespeople.

I hope OP finds a good deal on a well cared for LC!!
