Default Question about LC

I have a 2025 IS 500 and am pretty close to pulling the trigger on a new LC. One of my concerns is I live in a community with speed bumps. Could someone tell me the clearance from the bottom of the front bumper to the ground. My IS clears with no problem. I evened looked to rent one for a day or two before plopping down 120k to make sure it works for me. The IS is comfortable, has much smaller doors and has good visibility. don't want to make a huge financial mistake. Any feedback is really appreciated.

It isn't low.

5.2 inches of clearance and an approach angle of 12.1 degrees.

Thanks much.....Seems like every used LC I've seen has the bottom of the bumper thrashed pretty good...

I've had mine for 5 years and have never even once scraped the front bumper on anything.

My neighborhood has tons of speed bumps, and I clear them fine. My LC is also on lowering springs, so stock height you'll be fine.

@oceanp
According to Edmunds and Lexus of Canada,
2025 IS 500 ground clearance is 5.5 in.
LC 500 ground clearance is 5.2 in.

This is mainly because people don't understand generally how long the nose is. The thrashing is not likely from speed bumps but rather from steep ingress/egress points and more likely curb stops/parking stops.

This is where you really miss a front end camera.

The aftermarket front camera is good for a direct curb approach, but it’s pretty much useless at any angle. That’s probably where the 360° system shines.

Yep, one of the best things about the 2024+ models...

I had the same concerns when I bought mine. I ended up buying a AutoMods front bumper skid plate. Have'nt installed yet as needs to be on a lift. I'm going to have my dealer install it when I get my first oil change done.

100% my experience. Two contacts. One from parking-stops. Other steep ingress/egress. Both 6 months apart in which I wrongfully thought I'd learned better. Many speed bumps with no issues.

Have never scraped mine (‘24 coupe). Yet, just to protect it, I applied Slip-Pro stick on protectors on the bottom of the lip, just in case. Do it on all my low front end cars.
