Anyone have this situation with the touchup paint for the Red Lc500.? I believe it’s called infrared. The situation is the touch of paint is a semi translucent color paint. I’m assuming because the original paint is multi layered type paint procedure and therefore seems to be the touch of paint is a multi layered paint application which just doesn’t work for obvious reasons. Is there any aftermarket color that comes close? That is not a non-semi transparent cover (solid) that will match? Thanks for your help. Richard
I second the Automotive touch up paint. I have it and looks great on the one small rock chip I had.
You can buy the base color then the clear to go over it. I just used the base color because it was so small. www.Automotivetouchup.com
I've asked a similar question previously. I find the factory touch up paint doesn't match well when you just try and touch up a small spot. I've been looking for other choices. I'm sure the factory paint goes through a specific process that we can not duplicate at home. Here is an image of some paint I got at a hobby store that I use on some chips.
check these folks out its a 3 stage and they supply all that is needed. I used it and worked well. you need to be patient in the process and try it on the under wrap down by the rocker panel to be sure its ok for ya or use it under the front bumper. https://www.touchupzone.com.
