Hello to Lexus community after a while. Simply, what should be the paint thickness for Infrared LC500 all around?

 

Search on Youtube for a fellow named AutomotivePress on the Lexus LC500.
I don't follow the guy but he loves to take out his paint thickness measurement and measure the paint quality on cars.
I don't really care for this type of things. Once the scratch is beyond the clear coat and into the paint, it doesn't matter if the paint is a couple microns thicker as it's already damaged. This is the reason why I PPF the entire car. In fact, it has already paid itself in my eyes when I saw a tiny stone chip that got onto the hood and seems to have damaged the PPF but not all the way to touch the paint.

 

Mine, not red, measures 5.6 - 8.8 mils

 

Same, found 8-8.5 at shoulders, upper part of the door, lower part 5-6 mils.

 

Thanks Nick, that guy is an interesting one, has a trip to Lexus factory and talks about painting techniques but nothing on thickness I was able to find.
