What are you going to use to measure the temperature? I'm going to do it when I reach around 60k and bought OBD fusion but just curious as to what other are using.

Believe it or not, I use the Hyper Tough HT 500 Bluetooth scan tool from Walmart.

The fluid volume difference in the pan of a typical 9qt transmission, based on temp, is about 3 ounces between 70f and 120f. As long as it’s between “room temp” to “not scalding” - the actual temperature is irrelevant. ATF volume changes very, very little by temp. If you don’t have a tool to check temp, don’t waste $$ on one. And if you have one, it’s really not important to waste time on it (I do not).
