Well as someone who has been very happy with the ownership of 5 Lexus cars since 1990 (Ibought a new LS 400 and kept it 15 years with zero problems) they have earned my respect and loyalty. I’ll soon purchase a new LC 500 coupe and would not be surprised one bit if it is the best one yet. BTW my local Lexus dealership has been a pleasure to work with these past 35 years.

love my LC but Im coming up on 10,000 mile oil change that Lexus SA says the only one free was the first one(5000 miles). Anyways he quoted me $511 for oil change, fuel cleaner, cabin filter...seems way too high(Porsche prices)I will be looking for an independent or if forced to do it myself. What are you guys paying?

Go to a different dealer, "fuel cleaner" is service department code for selling stupid stuff to their customers. The cabin filter process is trivial, you can do that yourself.

Just an oil change on my '21 LC500 at my local dealer was $110.

He is right about the 5k being the only free one. Lexus gives 2 free services with purchase, and technically the LC has it's first service interval at 1k miles, which does not include an oil change. So by the letter of their policy, you are only owed one.

$511 is crazy. I get my oil changes done by the dealer for $120 w/ service coupon. Anything else at 10k miles is fluff and unnecessary entirely.

My suggestion is to have oil changes done at 5k miles intervals or thereabouts - (no matter what your SA or 'Lexus' recommends), if you are planning on keeping the car.

Agree. But they won't cover that one, in most cases you'll come out of pocket for it since it's not indicated in the service interval.

Exactly this - I coughed up for an oil change at the 1,000 mile inspection - reminds me, I should book the car in for its next inspection, given that I just passed 5,000 miles (since late May)!

Agree with 'fuel cleaner' - just use top tier 93 premium such as Exxon, Chevron, Marathon, etc. If you do this, once a year throw in a can of 505CRF FUEL SYSTEM cleaner, not the oil cleaner, available from Amazon.

Agree 100%, though I use Techron, especially in the rest of the family wagons (which are all DI only and have drivers who tend to fill up anywhere...) - got two bottles of Techron from Autozone the other day, for about $11! (it was a twofer)

My LC500 is the first Lexus I have purchased and for the most part, it was an enjoyable event. Except for Bespoke ordering which was a huge and disappointing mess. They seriously need to address this issue IMO.

At this point with likely the last MY of full blown production I don't think anything will change. For the future if they ever offer this type of thing on other models they definitely need to clean it up or just stick to the normal allocation system entirely.

We use Techron when traveling but as you know the top tier gas - forgot Shell - I mentioned have techron or the equivalent/chemical name in them.

Try the 505 in the rest of the family wagons it made one of my DI cars run much better after it had been sitting at another premises for six months even with a fuel preserver in it.
