Thinking about trading my Z06 for a LC convertible?
Hey all, considering trading my 2018 Z06/Z07 car for an LC Convertible. I know they are quite different cars, but I feel like I'd drive the LC more often than I do this Z. Granted, it only has 1400mi. Plus, I already have a '24 Z06 in the garage for the other toy.
Anyone have both? Pros and cons to the LC vs the Z? Any regrets if you went from one to the other?
2021 was the first year of the convertible. Most are coming off leases now so for sure you'll be seeing the majority of the convertibles as 2021 / 2022.
If you care about infotainment, wait for a 2024+ and you'll get that ipad screen but lose the more aesthetically pleasing dash.
and at cars and coffee there wont be be 6 other vettes identical to urs.
I agree. I've had 3 Corvettes over the years, and they are nice cars but C8's are EVERYWHERE! (Chevy built ~200K examples since 2020). I drive the only LC 500 convertible in the area; however, I see on average 4-5 Corvette C8's on the road every day! I know it's really an 'apples vs. oranges comparison' but if you enjoy exclusivity, the LC 500 is the best choice.

I would assume that the LC is also quite a bit more comfy, especially on a longer drive, than a Corvette?
Was at the Dealership yesterday picking up our LX and they had this Bespoke model in the showroom. Thought the rims were fantastic compared to mine. Was asked if I wanted to trade my LC for it but I still prefer the older dash style.
^wheels and other exterior things (even the color of the convertible top) you can easily change. The dash layout is a much more vital decision.
In 10 or 20 years time when all the infotainment is outdated (regardless if you got a tablet or not), what will be more important? The uniform design with the artistic glass panel or a tacked-on afterthought of a tablet. If you plan on keeping this car for many many years, id say factor that asethetic choice into your decision.

Dude, get over it. You seem to quite obsessed with bashing the 24+ dash. I can assure you, the touchscreen integration looks fantastic, is certainly not an afterthought as Lexus doesn't do that. It is worlds ahead of the touchpad interface. (And pretty much every official automotive expert agrees that with the 24+, Lexus finally fixed the only flaw the LC500 had.) And keep in mind, the 24+ offers other significant improvements, like LSS 2.5+ which is way way better than the previous. Oh, and the 360 degree camera with front and rear intelligent park assist. (I know I know. . . I can hear you grumbling. . . "I don't need no park assist, I learned how to part 75 years ago when I was 16. . .") Don't knock it till you try it. . . Once you do, it will be an OMG moment and you will kick yourself for not realizing how helpful it is. Need proof? There are aftermarket products that add this specifically for the LC500's that don't have it. . .
And revised and lighter suspension. . . And increased underbody bracing on the vert. . . And revised 10-speed transmission. . . And wired and wireless apple/android car play built. . .

I’m 92 and I loved my ‘23 C8 convertible until I fell and the knees wouldn’t allow entrance or exit. So I did the next best thing, turned the ‘vette in on a ‘24 LC convertible. Loved the ‘vette but I can live with the LC.
