Take a look at the Dr. color chip system. It works slightly differently, cost a little bit more, but not abusively so. It gives a dramatic advantage for scratches, but less so for circular chips or larger defects. I have had absolutely remarkable results with it on scratches.

Ive used doctor chip for my other Lexus. I honestly can’t tell the difference between their touch up paint and the OEM Lexus touch up paint. It works quite well if you follow the instructions, take it slow, and layer it.

Paint from dealership worked fine for me. Make sure you get 2 different paint pen. One is base another clear coat. And make sure you put it in correct order. Try it on any other surface to see how it works. Base color will have a lot of those metallic pieces and clear coat has red color in it.
the result was exactly how my paint looks.

Same quality but the application system is the key. It comes with a solvent/sealer. You rub that on as it is nearly dry, it levels the laid-in paint, and puts a sealing finish on it, blends right in. I have posted pics in the past of some amazing results; I am in a hurry this minute but later today/tonight I’ll try to link to a post or re-post the pics for you.

I am conservative and careful about stuff/new tricks. I would in fact not have tried this had my father not bought some for my mother’s car, and I used it and was amazed.

I have the same color. Tried the factory touch up, NG in my opinion way too dark. I've been experimenting with different model airplane type paints to find just the right match. Not there yet....

See post #12 in this thread. I used google and instantly found an old post with pics; the forum search sucks so hard.

I originally did this to the car before it was mine; belonged to a family member. Could not believe how fast, easy it was to do and how invisible it was afterwards. This car is now mine and I drive it; you cannot find the damage.

Again, it’s magic on scratches, less-so on big chips/divots. But still way better on both than factory paint or any simple pen. I was prepared to spend hours, even over two days, sanding and polishing the repair in the above. instead I was all done and perfect in 1/2 hour or less. Amazing.

My recommendation and it's worked fairly well over the years

1. get a touch up paint pen (or just use dr. color chip)
2. apply it on
3. hairdry it - wait 10-15 mins
4. wet-sand the scratch/chip and the surrounding 1-2 inch area radius with 1000 grit sandpaper, then 2000, then 3000
5. polish it with some meguiars 205
6. seal/wax

Hope it helps
