I recently had my LC500 serviced for a faulty HVAC Servo Motor. After, I noticed that HUD seemed dimmer than normal. I adjusted the manual settings through the steering wheel menu. But then I noticed that in bright Sun it would automatically brighten and then shade it would dim. For some reason, I never noticed this before.
I know they had to go into the dash to fix the HVAC motor and wondering if they positioned the Ambient lights sensor correctly or if it’s sitting too low in the dash and that is why in the shade it’s super dim than I have remembered in the past. Also is there a way to disable the auto HUD dimmer and have it just stay at a constant brightness?
Here is how my sensor is sitting. Is this what yours looks like?
That position looks right. That's a cover so there's a possibility that the actual sensor is not clipped to it properly.
When I removed my dash I remember questioning a few things for weeks afterward, although the car was still pretty new to me at the time.

Thanls for the Prompt Reply.
I do not hear any rattles. I have been driving my LC more frequently, so I am noticing more quirks and features. So, I am questioning things more and may not have realized the autobrightness feature before. As I am driving it more, I also am not seeing the condesation in the rear backup camera as well too.
