Ya Hand wash Leaf blower dry!! The less friction that touches the paint, the better looking in the long run. Njoy.
Retirement = more time to )*&^%$#@%&*(.
Took it to the dealership for 1,000 mile oil change and told them 'No Wash'. I left a sticky note near the gear shifter with bold writing 'No Wash'. The work order did state no car wash. When I went to pick up the car, saw a A4 sheet placed on the dashboard that said 'No Wash' in big letters - felt good about how they listened and taken care of the request.
Bought a soap cannon now for next wash. I did try leaf blower method couple of times last month and it did the job well.
If your car has a ceramic sealant applied to it, it's much easier to wash and dry since it tends not to get nearly as dirty.
Plus, when I wash my car I'll sometimes apply a ceramic booster to retain the properties of the sealant such as resisting dust and dirt. Not to mention that I enjoy spending time making my LC look great!
People in my neighborhood look at me like I'm nuts when I use a leaf blower to dry the car. Especially the women. They don't understand the mental anguish of water spots after a wash. I think I'm going to have T-Shirt made that states "The Leaf Blower is to Prevent Water Spots. Stop Staring at Me!". I'll just wear it every time I wash my cars.
Edit: I just created one real quick because I'm bored.
Not only would I not allow the dealer to wash my car but I don't let them even do an oil change (my independent shop matched my complimentary oil change at 5K miles just so I wouldn't go to the dealer).

You really believe a Lexus dealership can't handle an oil change?

Mine has overfilled on 2/3 oil changes so far. Last time they did it right because I told the advisor specifically to tell the lube techs to make sure it ain't.
Mine has ben overfilled twice after specific instructions not to and foot prints on the speaker. I will not go back unless I have a warranty issue.
Twice for me also.
I don't think they let it drain long enough.
Last time I told them 9 quarts only, not 9.1.
It was still a little above the top mark.

Yup that's exactly what I told them. I told my advisor "the book calls for 9.1 but if they put 9.1, it's gonna be overfilled because they won't let it drain enough. So have them put 8.9 in and then check it before adding any more."
He told me they let it drain a little longer then put 9 and it was at about 3/4 on the dip stick when I checked.
