Quote: . We've been having trouble cracking into the ECU. Seems none of the major tuners have had any experience with an ECU beyond year 2022 on an LC,
We'll be trying again next weekend after getting some more guidance from those who would unlock it if sent directly to them
Will update.
I'm not telling you anything, but gremlins lurk in codes making dreams into toss-and-turns I'd enjoy your present ride as is were it me. But look forward to the journey onto the frontier.

Wow totally forgot to update this thread.
We were able to crack the ECU a couple of weeks before Christmas. I have not had a chance to run it on track (actually we cracked the ecu the day AFTER my last track session lol) but will be taking it for post tune dyno and tweaking (if necessary) hopefully in a week or two.

After the tune my gas mileage is back to what it used it be, the AFR is dialed in again with the bolt ons, and the car is optimizing the amount of air it's breathing now. The tuner also made a few tweaks to the transmission, mainly making it shift faster in Sport and Sport+ modes, effectively eliminating those lazy low gear shifts you get if you are not deep in the pedal. He also said he increased the throttle response in these modes, but I already have a throttle controller so I have not perceived any difference there. Lastly, the speed limiter was removed, but no change to the rev limit.

The torque numbers are undoubtedly going to be up, the car pulls HARD from low RPM all the way through the power band. I can break my large 315s loose in 2nd gear now. There is definitely performance gain. I am hoping to hit 450whp and 400+tq, but we will see what the numbers say at the end of the day. Very happy with the tune that's been put on.

After seeing the picture of your LC in track livery on the picture-thread just now, I remembered seeing no report on results of the ECM adventure. Decided to read all unread forum auto-emails before a PM to inquire. And lo and behold there it was minus the before-and-after dyno you were planning. Concerned you could turn your vision into a very expensive 2+ ton paper weight. Sounds like everything is coming up roses as the quest continues.

Post tune dyno 444hwp 417tq
Here it is! The post tune #s 443whp and 417tq. tune has increased whp by 20 and tq by nearly 45 ft lb. Very pleased with the results. My tuner is going to smooth out that power dip towards the end, the janky stuff in the middle is interesting and the shop thinks maybe the car needs new plugs or gap adjustment to smooth out. New plugs at 25k miles would suck but could be necessary due to track abuse. The car has spent a lot of time North of 5k RPM LOL.

This is terribly exciting to see! We are going to need some serious details on this whole thing recapped at some point. A future question - where and how do I get this.

Cheers,
David

Max speed numbers were cut off at bottom of before-tune numbers screen shot. Rough idea of those as compared to your 200 mph LC?

Things to do at the next track event:

1. 200mph
2.
3.

So today they let us run it in 7th which is true 1:1 for power. In 6th the max speed is a little over 170mph, which is how the pre-tune dyno was run

LOL! I doubt it could hit 200. My guess is aerodynamically limited somewhere aorund 190. Funny the calculated speed based on ratios if you could drive it in a vacuum is over 300mph in 10th gear 🤣
