I've used this on three Lexus cars. The wire at the end presses the release tab, which is surrounded by plastic on the connector.

Hopefully yours is easier to remove then mine. I was squeezing that damn thing so hard to the point that the tip of my finger was bruised.
Thanks! I'll give it a go as soon the mail gets here!

Installed! I can't get the button to stick on any of the leather surfaces on the car. I had the same trouble with the armytrix remote. Even used new 3M VHB but eventually crammed it in here above the parking brake lever.

The connector was very simple if you remove the panel covering it (2 screws and a few clips and the footwell light), but contorting under there sure was tough!

Will give it some drive time this afternoon

I'm not loving the wire but I also cant see it while driving so might just leave it.

I am loving the way the car drives even more now though! More thoughts when I get home and not at a traffic light

Ok so just got back from an hour of driving to fill up the tank and daycare pick up. First impressions and tl;dr summary: great mod! It really livens up the driving experience at low throttle. Finding the right balance will take some time and likely different for everyone, but it sure does make the car feel a lot more peppy from a dig. Biggest notice beyond the initial get and up go it has is on the highway. Cruising in gears 8+ and you want to give it all it's got, the response is near IMMEDIATE with kick down straight away to 4th gear with very minimal pedal input. The response is greatly improved here, and I'm glad I did this mod! Lastly, RIP fuel economy.

Some more detail specific to this unit from my initial observations:

I found myself switching between 2 modes primarily:
  1. Dynamic acceleration curve + Sport mode (50% increase). This was very driveable around town, not too jumpy but noticeably more response when wanting to get on it. Still manageable in this mode if you want to maintain a semi-light foot. This may become my go to, everyday setting.
  2. Exponential acceleration curve + Super Sport mode (75% increase). This was also driveable around town but definitely getting into the "jumpy" territory. Felt very sporty but also mellows out if you happen to go too far into the pedal, because the acceleration curve moves towards normal the deeper you go into the pedal in this mode, so like 80% pedal here is 80% throttle, same as it would be without the controller at all. I think this is a good mode for someone who wants a solid mix of the normal response when getting into the pedal balanced with some extra throttle response with early pedal input.
I tried the Linear mode and found it to definitely be the most "jumpy" if you will. I likely won't use it, but for ****s and giggles I did Race mode (100% increase) in Linear and WTAF. It shoots off the line, spins the tires, and is generally unusable around town with like 20% pedal input, LOL. I don't see any use for Linear + Race other than to do donut, burnouts, or drifts, none of which are high on my priority list.

I do particularly like how this controller keeps the first 10% of the pedal the same as factory with any mode. It makes it possible to do parking lot maneuvers/stop-and-go without having to remember to reach for the button if you happen to be in aggressive mode when some more tame driving is required. From the Pedal Commander chart posted above, it looks the different modes on that unit provide varying response input right from 1% pedal input.

The Race mode in other acceleration curves was more manageable but also still pretty ridiculous. For reference again, below are the acceleration curves mentioned:

Great write up. There is one negative that I noticed. Before I installed the throttle controller and really hit the gas off the line, at some point around 35-45 MPH the exhaust would make this amazing Crackling sound. Now I can't seem to recreate that sound with the Throttle controller activated. That Crack sound was like music to my ears and I miss it. Does everyone else's car make that sound when they step on it?

I have armytrix exhaust so can't comment directly, but have not noticed any exhaust note changes. Assuming you tried with the throttle controller in "OFF" position (i.e. factory setting) and still could not reproduce it?

I did notice a funny thing with my armytrix exhaust. I have the exhaust set to "auto" mode for open/close valves and the RPM value for it set to 500 RPM. This allows me to have a nice quiet idle with valves closed when sitting at lights (at least when not running AC), but then the valves open and the exhaust is active as soon as I take off. With the throttle controller, the response is so immediate at some takeoffs, that the exhaust doesn't register the input right away and it takes a couple seconds to realize it needs to open the valves. A few times I noticed zero exhaust note when taking off from the light as the valved were closed, then all of a sudden it kicked in at 2500 rpm, lol. Never had that behavior prior!

To be confirmed of course.
Just to confirm this point - this is in fact how it operates, but it's not as simple as "my phone is on me so it's active again." The phone app needs to establish the connection via bluetooth with the device, and only then does it unlock itself. There is a bit of a lag in that process and so it can be annoying if you are wanting to just hop in and get moving, and sometimes it just fails to connect automatically and I have to manually open the app to connect it.

I only use the LOCK function now if I'm parking somewhere completely unknown to me and/or somewhere overnight outdoors (rare).

Good to know. Seems like a worthy added benefit albeit not as convenient as one might like. I could live with that for the added security.

I’ve had the Pedal Commander for a day so far, but the experience has been very positive. Honestly, I’m surprised Lexus Sport + doesn’t offer something similar. The biggest difference for me is how much more nimble the car feels. It feels lighter and more responsive while maintaining it’s dual personality.

It’s not about being faster; it’s about the car responding more quickly to what I want it to do. Another big plus is how much smoother the gears shift now. I’m assuming that’s because of the improved pedal response and how the ECU is programmed. It’s also downshifting a lot quicker, which really enhances the driving experience.

I’m currently using Pedal Commander on the “maxed out” Sport setting. I haven’t tried any other modes yet, but so far, I’m very pleased.

Had a throttle controller on a 2013 Jeep Rubicon and can attest that it made the 285hp "feel like" 360+. Strange kinetic indeed wherein sensation defies reality. (used it to reduce throttle response for rock-crawling; worked fab and took me up a level). Bottom line those things work to bring a new dimension to driving experience. So happy with my LC not tampering with factory-design settings at this time though.
