I got my '24 LC this summer. Around the 3,00 mile mark, the front brakes started squealing when warm. It just finished its 5,000-mile service, and the technician found nothing with the brakes. My service advisor initially told me that they were louder since this car had "race" brakes. I didn't feel like trying to explain to him that his statement wasn't accurate. Has anyone else experienced squealing brakes on practically new pads and rotors?
It's typical of these brakes and of Lexus high performance pads in general. It happens across models especially when the brakes are cold. For me on my 24, they don't squeal at all if ambient temps see over 75. But once it gets a little cooler they are as loud as a school bus. I had over 3k miles of squeal free driving from August to October but as soon as temps got into the 60s it started up. On the occasional day when temps get close to 80, i hear zero noise.
Try bedding them in properly and if that doesn't work the only solution is to switch pads to the non-performance pads or switch brands to powerstop or toms pads.
You might try showing your dealership the service bulletin that was issued in the past for model years up to 2022 and see if they'll replace your pads with the non-performance ones for free, but no guarantee since the bulletin does not specifically include 2024.

For me, it is the opposite. When they are col,d it is fine. Only when they warm up a little do they squeal.
Its a 24 Lou
bfrd Most had issues with the earlier models and there was a SB for it and they changed them out for zip. My 2018 still does it once in a great while since the service 3-4 yrs ago.
I didn't really notice it until I was in bumper to bumper traffic in DC on a cold day with a passenger. Not really fun to repeatedly brake hard in those situations.
I've gone the opposite direction and just downshift for an eternity of engine braking and only apply the brakes once I'm crawling, at least in most situations around town which are predictable. I think my pads will last the life of the vehicle plus added benefit of glorious downshift noises

Agreed! Big time downshifter here...lol. The pads on my Masi GT went 125k with how ridiculously I use engine braking. And that car is heavier than the LC.
Been a week since I installed Tom's brake pads. Brake dust is very minimal. Just wiped down one wheel to see just how dusty it might be...seems more dirty than dusty. Great result for those considering these pads.
