My dealer’s SR sent me this as part of a text today. I had inquired about the possibility of swapping my ‘24 coupe for a ‘25 convertible. His comment(s) don’t really make sense, so trying to reach him by phone to discuss and understand. The “Ryan” he mentions is their Sales Mgr. “LC discontinued”; Weird!
Interestingly just got this from the Lexus Advisory Board;
"Thank you for being part of the Lexus Advisory Board! Today you have a unique opportunity to participate in an in-person research event in Saline, MI. If you qualify and participate you will receive a $150 honoraria. This survey will be open until Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 at 9am PT."
Filling it out, the first question was if I still own/drive the LC500. Then it indicated driving a Sim and testing driver input/response (with several questions about motion sickness). Only assuming it's related to the LC500 because of the first question. If so, don't think they would be discontinuing the LC500 if running owner inputs. But anything's possible.
Which Dealership in California?
Call them out and report to Corporate Lexus. They should not play these unethical games as it just undermines their credibility. It was like the Lexus Dealership that sold a Used 2nd Gen IS350 to this poor dude that was experiencing carbon buildup was burning oil and in the service record it showed that this was an issue and the recommendation was an engine replacement but was not disclosed to the new buyer.
