I got an email that the Cadillac event (at least our 9:30 AM EST timeslot) is canceled, due to inclement weather, see your dealer if you want to experience the thrill of Cadillac. So much for the 640 HP CTS-V thrill ride. See the dealer, for what? A full on sales pitch? What they should have said is sorry for the inconvenience, here is a $100 gift card (GM used to mail out $50 like it was nothing, guess times have changed).
Two weeks ago, we autocrossed the G30 540i's in the pouring rain. Makes one appreciate how serious and dedicated BMW is.

Every company has their tolerated level of risk
Remember GM got hammered over those ignition switches so they probably hired more attorneys who have some say about what happens

No doubt....but the email is vague, sounds like one rides in the CTS-V, doesn't specify what car is used for autocross. But I think there was no thought put into the email, "if you would like to experience the thrill of Cadillac, visit your local Cadillac dealer or Cadillac.com." My buddy said tell them it's raining, you're not able to get out to the dealer...

Thanks? But that wasn't part of the posters experience. Those experiences are usually part of special BMW M performance showcases (like how the LFA would be toted around during F and F-Sport tours). The more plebeian BMW Performance Driving School class utilize M240i, 340i, 540i, 650i, X3, and X5 vehicles. Sometimes bringing M2, M3, M4, X5 M, and X6 M along as well.

It's still super hot in Palm Springs in September: 100+. If that sounds hot to you, try to go after October. Also, you can apply your M Track Days credit (about $900) towards a M School 1 or 2 day. I used mine towards a 2-Day, booked for later this year.

I have a feeling the morning time slots were canceled, and not the afternoon, because my buddy at work said he didn't get an email that it was canceled as of 5 pm yesterday, and his slot was 3 PM in the afternoon.
By the way it's dry, and the sun was just out....hahahahahahahahahaha

Sounds like you'd drive the latest products like the XT5, CT6, ATS, CTS (and the latest safety tech demos). Also 'ride' not 'drive' the CTS-V. Probably better off that you're not going as you may be even more disappointed. At least they sent an email before you set out.
