I'll just preface this with I am slightly overweight and have a bad left knee, so getting out the car can sometimes be a chore. When I first bought the car I found myself elbowing via the seat bolster a lot to aid in exit. That was obviously bad the first time I looked at the bolster afterwards. Since then, I use my elbow but against the painted surface in the door jamb where the tire pressure sticker is. This is not comfortable but it allows me to get the support I need to leverage my *** out of the car without straining the seat bolsters.
To remedy this, I purchased this elbow rest from Amazon and stuck it in this location. The door still closes and seals just fine, it barely grazes the top of the elbow pad when closing. I relocated the tire pressure sticker as you can see, and this now makes my exits much nicer on my poor left elbow.
They make a temporary handle that you slide into the door catch when you get in and out. Given the structural importance of that mechanism, that sucker isn’t going anywhere and you can put a ton if weight on it. I got one of those for my grandfather, years back, when he was having issues getting in and out of the car. It looks less elegant, and requires more effort to use it, but it’s an option.

that’s not going to work on a coupe without the frame for the glass window.
This goes in the hoop of the door latch mechanism on the jam, not even on the door itself. You can cut away a whole car an inch above that hoop, not that you’d want to for anything outside of a junkyard, and that handle would work fine.
That looks mighty convenient but I don't think my ego will allow the use of this device for another 20 years minimally 😅
I plan to get that handle for my wife, lol. She now drives the LC, but there was a time when I was the only driver, and the closest she got was once I had to tie my shoe and I let her hold the steering wheel..
I came across this 2018 LC with 96k miles on it. 3 owners with a minor rear collision, no airbags deployed and this is what the seat bolster looks like.

This was before they added the easy entry/exit functionality in 2021, a friend has a 2020 (I've had a '21 and now '24) and is using the memory seat settings -- 1 to drive, 3 to get in/out -- to accomplish the same function. Having the seat move back / steering wheel move up will help to reduce some of this bolster wear.

wow, really?? ‘20 MY and previous LC500 does not have a function that my 2015 GS-350 does?

Yeah its amusing our 24 CHR GR Sport has the same/similar handles, shifter etc as my 24 LC, better auto cruise & it even has a phone charging pad, quite hilarious that the flagship, halo model is so lacking in many areas
A new back for the seat is not that much money. I would just no worry about it and replace it when it’s time or if you know it’s going to happen, buy a spare.
