Default Winter Storage

So my LC will be heading into Winter storage shortly until probably March. Got the CTEK battery tender connected direct to the battery but just wondering if there are other considerations to be aware of like;

Do the run flat tires get "flat spotted" from not being repositioned?

Do you immediately change just the oil after storage or just do the next scheduled maintenance per Time?

Any special concerns with the Vert (tops cloth or something else)?

Do you keep the car completely covered when using the trickle charger?

These kinds of posts make me sad to see.

I remember having to put a vehicle away for the winter and just stare it all sad wanting to release her from hibernation cable.

Never again, Winter!!!!!!!

I find some of these posts on why hibernate the LC are a little ignorance.
We live in different climate and have different circumstances but we share the same love for the LC. For me reasons why I would just trickle charge my LC from mid Nov-Late March
-LC500 is not my daily. I never need to drive the LC. Most of the time, I need to find a reason to take it out.
-Finding tires other than summer is a headache in correct size.
-Weather is too unpredictable and sometime I can get caught in snow.
-Roads are salty.

For some, LC is not exotic enough but for some of us, it’s probably the most car we’ll ever get to own.

I plan on trickle charge the car without a cover so I can still “see” it.
Take it out to the driveway every month or so when weather allows.
Haven’t thought about changing oil after hibernation but will change next summer.

Re: tires - If you don’t need to move it at all, a good idea is to lift it slightly and put it on stands or blocks. Not necessarily wheels in the air, just remove some weight. Besides reducing the tire stress, it removes spring and shock stress. Not a “must” - but desirable.

Re: oil - Modern oil is massively more oxidatively stable than older generations. If it’s kept indoors and has some climate protection from extremes, water, condensation, etc. - don’t worry about it for a few months.

I put my LC away every winter here in PA. I connect the trickle charger, put fuel stabilizer in the tank & put 40 ibs air pressure in the tires.

Full wash/clay/wax/c-coating, interior wipe down, fuel stabil on full tank of premium, check/top off other fluids, inflate tires to 3-4PSI above factory 'cold' setting', battery tender, (optional) car cover -> I have full PPF

Pull it out in April/May after two full rainfalls to clear the roads.

Agree about it being the most I will own. I’ve wanted one since seeing it debut at the Detroit Auto Show (and every time at the Dealers showroom) but until this year it was only a want due to cost and justification. I’ve seen plenty of exotic and high end vehicles (those who can afford Gulfstream’s have fairly nice vehicles) and while they are interesting, I’ve not wanted one. So for me, yes this is a special vehicle. Maybe kind of corny but I’m reminded of a saying we had; this is my rifle (substitute car for rifle), there are many like it but this one is mine.

It’s also not my daily driver and I too look for reasons to take it out to drive. Heck I drove 10 miles today to get some bread/scones, top down of course.

If there happens to be a sunny, clear road day I will put it back on full coverage and drive, but in Michigan end of November to March those days can be few.

I drove 50miles today to get some tuna to make lunch for tomorrow
The scenery and drive were delicious. It’s beautiful here this time of year.

Well hopefully it’s fresh Bluefin Tuna!

Agree with the scenery, similar here with the leaves turning. Although only hitting 60 degrees, the climate concierge was working perfectly with the top down.
