Question Wheel/Tire size

Hello all. I am looking to swap out my stock 21 in wheels for something a bit more exciting. I have a 21 with a performance package with RWS and stock suspension (keeping this way as I like the ground clearance and not scraping it everywhere).

With respect to the rims, I am wondering if 9.5 and 11 in (with proper offset) in width could fit this car.

As far as the tires, I would ideally go with 275/35/21 for the front and 315/30/21 for the rears and would also like to know if anyone is running these without any rubbing issues.

Thanks in advance.

Hoping I can get someone to chime in. I am narrowing down my spec and looking at the following. I will preface this by saying that I do not want the top of my wheels to be totally flush with the fenders. Instead I am looking for something that's between the stock setup and being completely flush, which would seem to push the wheel out about 12mm. With that, I am considering

Front: 21x9.5 et 25 wrapped in 275/35/21 (this offset would push the rim out in either direction about 12.5mm)
Rear: 21x11 et 31 wrapped in 315/30/21 (this offset would push the rim out 13mm towards the outside and 25mm towards the suspension).

Is anyone running a setup that is similar to this that can help confirm whether this would work or not. I am mainly concerned with the inner side of the wheels/tires and whether there would be any interference with the suspension components or the body.

Thanks.

I'm running 9½" with +5 offset front and 10½" rear with +15 offset. 255/40/21 front and 295/35/21 rear Michelin PSS4 tires.

I was up until recently contemplating your exact wheel/tire setup. However, as I really like my 2024 stock 21-inch 10-spoke wheels, I decided to go one tire size bigger instead, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S HL255/40R21 and HL285/35R21. The OEM Michelin Pilot Sport S5 tires have tread widths of 7.5in front and 8.7in rear, compared to 8.6in front and 10.2in rear for the 4S tires. A noticeable improvement visually.

There are many examples of successful larger wheel and tire fitments in the “Wheels” and “Tires” Sticky threads, of which I saved many fitment details. One similar example to what you’re considering is from Club Lexus member anchaf3. Here are 3 of his posts:

1. I have used the OEM 21x9.5 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 size 275/35/21 in the front and back (I found set of OEM wheels on eBay for rather cheap) without any issue.

2. You do not have to worry about rubbing when making U-turns. I am currently running a 10” wheel up front with a 275 tire and the only time I ever rub (it only rubs the fender liner mind you) is when I hit a big highway dip. I have never rubbed while doing a U-turn. For what it’s worth, my car is lowered on coil overs. This would increase the chance of rubbing. At normal ride height you probably have nothing to worry about.

3. I recently purchased new wheels and tires. I went with 21x9.5 et 17 wheels with 275/35/21 tires on the front and 21x11 et 23 with 315/30/21 on the rear. I determined that this set up would work based on my own measurements and using wheel offset calculators online. The fit was excellent. Fender and strut clearance is not an issue. I have not felt or visualized any evidence of rubbing. In fact, when viewing the car from the underside when it was on the car lift, there was still nearly 3/4" more strut clearance with this set up. I regret not getting 21x11.5" on the rear and going 325/30/21 or bigger.
