Hope he didn’t lose much on it and paid cash when he bought it. To own a vehicle for 3+ years only to drive 3k miles.

These auctions surprise me as well. I understand the lure of limited production, but you can order a new vehicle with a similar color scheme and better tech for comparable money.

I was joking. Though, I do remember, in the ‘90s (?), when some company made luggage combos to perfectly fit into the trunk space of sports cars. The stuff was obscenely expensive, but used every cubic inch available in Lamborghinis and Ferraris. I think they were always advertising in Robb Report. Their best seller was probably for the 911, for several reasons. I haven’t seen them in years, once manufacturers grabbed back control so even marketing unbranded luggage was impossible. Porsche likely more than anyone else.
