One year later…… took my LC for a yearly check and maintenance. Told them I still had issues with the rear wing. They checked and found the exact same screw or piece of metal under the wing mechanism cover !! They have no idea were it is coming from. Wing is supposed to function fine. Total mystery 😂🤣

Very strange! Is it the same screw that keeps breaking over and over?

they don’t know from where this screw is coming. For the dealer all looks goods and no part missing 🙏🏻

Edit: Never mind, I am still under warranty and I already brought up the screw when I was at the dealer for my door handle replacement. Appointment set for tomorrow.
I did take my car back to the dealer complaining about a thud I occasionally hear when the car is slowing down. I suspect it's coming from the wing but can't seem to catch it with a visual to confirm. Dealer told me they couldn't replicate so they couldn't really diagnose it under warranty even though I showed them the screw that I found. As far as I know the wing is still functioning properly in auto.

Does anyone else hear the wing when it lowers itself while driving?

Yes. It sounds like a bass hit in a song, pretty audible thud when the wing closes. It closes at 25mph, so keep an ear at that speed for it.

Great, now that I can eliminate that concern, I can turn my attention to the back of my seat which feels like it moves when I accelerate

I, too, once thought the clunking sound was an issue, until it repeated itself every time I went above 55mph and came to a stop. I'm used to it now. Thanks to the forum for the info. I like to have the wing down, though. It looks foolish at 55 mph or 80mph, it does not require downforce. I see many Chevy Trax and pickups that seem ok at that speed when they pass at 85!

This rear spoiler issue is driving me mad. Again it is stuck down. Will take it to the dealer for a deep diagnostic

Good idea to let the dealer sort this out. Seems to be unique to your car and not a known issue generally speaking for the rear wing.
