It will be the spec that Toyota NZ decide they want to bring here

Generally we only get one spec, usually pretty close to the top spec, or the top spec of a model, especially with the "fancier" GR models for example

First modification on Friday, oil catch can, took some head scratching to decide how & where to put it

Then yesterday out for a 350 Km trip "around the block" to get some miles & bugs on it

130 kms into the trip & the brake dust was already annoying me, I hope the power stop pads I have coming fit......

changed to aftermarket wheels and simonized glass coat before tire/wheel switch. Rims seem to stay really clean and when to clean it is really easy..kept the original rims just in case.

My car & rims are ceramic coated so the brake dust will come off easily, even easier if it isn't there in the first place though

My GR Yaris & Supra were terrible, the Yaris especially, ceramic pads fixed that problem

I must say Rock Auto certainly rock, I ordered a full set of Power Stop Z23 pads on the 8th of this month & they showed up here today, 7 days
They aren't listed for the 2024 model
I fitted them this afternoon & bedded them in this evening
They did fit which was great, the rears needed the Powder Stop backing shims removed & the factory ones fitted otherwise a spring would most likely been in the way,
The fronts were easier, those calibres are HUGE
I used POWER STOP Z232063 (Z23-2063) & Z232062 (Z23-2062)

I noticed the curved vanes in the front rotors face/turn the "wrong" way just like the GR Yaris & I presume the GR Corolla, the GR Supra ones face the "right" way just like aftermarket rotors do

Another interesting thing regarding my car is that it is only the second one in the country of the new model, the other one is the yellow one i posted pics of earlier, so pretty rare here

Did you place the OEM front shims in addition to the ones preinstalled on the powerstop front pads, or did you swap them, or did you not reuse the OEM shims?

I used the front pads as them came, they didn't have any shims on them, the rears did, which I removed
I reused the factory shims
I did 2-300 Kms yesterday, way less brake dust now
No squeaks or squeals yet, but I haven't traveled very far
Very happy with the braking performance, cheap worthwhile modification

Hey @KiwiGreg Can you give some details on the catch can you installed? How did you do it, how difficult, which exact unit you purchased? etc?

I got it from Figs, well before my car showed up

https://shopfigs.com/v5/index.php?route=common/home

The link I had doesn't work now because they have updated their website

This is it an RCF one

https://shopfigs.com/v5/ENGINE-PERFO...-RCF-GSF-L1374

I bolted it through the brace, mine is right hand drive so most likely different in the engine bay

I also brought another breather hose so I didn't cut the factory one because I always like to be able to select reverse gear & put the car back to OEM

Nothing in the catch can yet, 10500 KMs but I don't track it or give it hell (often)
