Hey @woodranch I've been following your posts and asks for help. And truly feel terrible for the noise you're hearing. If you love the car, I wouldn't give up yet. I had a similar issue (ticking, sometimes squeeking tho) noise in the roofliner in my 2013 GS350. Ultimately, it was never FULLY resolved (sorry to get your hopes up), but I switched to a dealership with more leverage, who tried to help... and eventually actually got 3 Engineers from Japan to take a drive with me. They were visiting an office in Canada, and my service manager was able to get into their good graces and get a couple hours of their time. Sadly, I was unable to fully replicate the noise, but they believed me and took the feedback back to the plant. They also made some recommendations to reduce the noise, which helped considerably (80% reduction). While previously when I had heard the noise I'd get upset. Now when it happened, I at least felt good that they had put in considerable effort to reduce it. Interestingly, a couple years into ownership the noise disappeared.

I'm sharing this just to let you know that despite things not being fully resolved, Lexus did take great care in listening and doing their best to address it. It sucks to pay 6 figures (or frankly even $20K) for a vehicle and not have it function perfectly out of the factory. So I feel for you. But maybe don't give up just yet and see if you can find a dealership to help. Try cold calling one and asking to speak to the service manager. Explain your issue and say that the existing dealership hasn't been able to pinpoint it... in an effort to win your business they may take on your vehicle as a problem they're committed to solving.

Wish you all the best.

I’ve used an anti-squeak lubricant and it helps for a period of time. It’s a temporary solution in the event you wish to consider asking your dealer about appropriate/compatible anti-squeak sprays for your rattle concern.

Thanks all for responding, to try and go to another dealer would be more than 1.5 hours and not guarantee that they will help me. I truly need help from Lexus Corporate if anyone has emails or leads.

Lexus management is listed on their web site. They are going to send you to a dealer. If you are not willing to invest the time, 1.5 hours, then you need to give up and trade it in and be done. I don't know the trade in might take more time and effort than you think? I assume you have called Lexus customer service and started a complaint file?

Investing time is not the issue! The dealer closest to my home should take care of me as any other dealer would! It is Lexus. Then if there are any issues with the new dealer, I should just keep on driving 1.5 hours back and forth each time. I obviously have a job and cannot just take off whenever I would like . My Lexus dealer, which is one of the largest should take care of this! The car is 4 months old with 2000 miles!

Then, make more noise, like on LinkedIn if you are not getting the help you deserve. Just like the recent Audi A8 guy on LinkedIn.

BTW, this should not waster too much of your time. Lost Money like 30k dollars within 4 months is not acceptable. Damn, that’s not even warmed up / breakin.

And yeah, car at this price point depreciates like crazy including Lexus.

My wife has an RX and had some issues. She looked up the customer service # (I think it’s 800-255-3987) and immediately Lexus started a file and opened a case. Lexus reviewed the case and had the local Lexus dealer fix the issue, free of charge. Lexus stands behind their product and I in no way would give up. Our local dealership was not going to fix as we were just a few months out of warranty, but after she called the national # and Lexus did their research, the local dealership was instructed to fix the issue. I was very impressed. Good luck.

Good luck!
FWIW - on March 25, 2024 Lexus Corporate named Cynthia Tenhouse as their new VP of Marketing for North America (she's located in Dallas). Although I couldn't find contact info for her online, she is currently on LinkedIn so you may be able to reach out to her there. I hope that helps...good luck!

I have no idea where people are coming up with this number of $75k trade in value for a 2024 LC with 2k miles on it. I've been in the market looking for one for a while now, 2023s with 6k miles are being sold for like $95k... Slightly used 2024s are going for atleast 100k, usually just 2-3k off MSRP. Now of course trade in value will be less so the dealer can turn a profit, but not 25k less! I think you should easily be able to sell for 95, atleast till the 2025 MY launches... It's still a loss I get it .. but not an insane amount...
Although I agree with others, would definitely be a better idea to get the problem resolved Rather than sell...
