I would think your installer would perform a correction prior to install for nominal fee considering the cost of the install. And yes, i would correct even if new (unless i was happy with condition).

This is what I was thinking. Maybe I wasn’t clear but I was trying to compare getting a color wrap vs. just clear PPF.

I know color wrap is thinner and I don’t think it self heals but maybe the newer wraps do? Having a unique color is always fun!

btw did you powder coat your calipers at the same time?

yes, i powder-coated the calipers at the same time. I cant stand those black calipers.

I don't know if it has self-healing properties but at least it offers some protection and uniqueness.
