2018 LC500 Reliability and Potential Issues
Hello everyone,
This is my welcome back to car forums. I used to be very active in cars forums years ago but maybe 5 years ago I disappeared from forums. I am now considering an LC 500. I used to have BMWs but hoping to get something a little more reliable that doesn't require so much fixing.
On a used 2018 model, what are the issues that I should be aware of? What is the general reliability of the car.. especially the engine?
Thanks!

Well, 2018 was the first year, and it had several other 'side' issues, like too stiff suspension (but with body roll), which I believe was fixed in 2019. I remember reading that the best years were 2019 and 2020, not only because of less potential issues, but I think the exhaust was quieted down later as well, among other things I don't remember, since I'm not interested on older models. I'm sure the experts will chime in, but a 2019 or 2020 wouldn't cost hardly any more, so I'd go for those 2 years, and the least mileage you an afford. Do some searching here; lots of info. I'm starting that process too, but I want a pristine '22 or '23 with less than 5K miles, and a unicorn build. Ha ha. Best of luck.
2018 NO issues with the reliability its a Lexus. Motor rock solid 2UR GSE! Only concern, recall on the fuel pump. No issues but work/recall was completed. It should come up in your carfax if it was done. Great car, a treat to drive and turns heads as she flaunts it down the road. Njoy!
