Default Expecting father

I'm proud to say that I'm an expecting father of 07GX next week-end, assuming all goes well. I've spent months and way too many late nights on this key board researching various forums and other sources what car maker/model may be the best around and is the perfect fit for my needs and wants. I quietly read all the posts for some time, on the few problems, the differences in model years, warranty drive shaft issue (yes I'll check if my shaft has been replaced by the "new" TSB) the oil to use, the enhancements, etc, etc, etc and mainly the appreciation that everyone has for this vehicle and hope I love mine as much.

I'd like to thank all those unknown supporters of this fantastic forum which has helped me confirm my purchase decision and plan to be as active and helpful as others are!! (you may need to be patient with me as this is my 1st forum & posting)

Thanks again, ARK

Now the question, what to do first...........

The first thing is protection, plastic film for bumper, hood, mirrors, and rubber floor mats. Next up changing transfer case, diffs and engine oil to synthetic, while I'm under there I'm going to paint up the front lower radiator support, front suspension components and other high prone areas, this may seem crazy, but after looking at 2-4 year old used GX's up here in winter salt land, every thing starts rusting pretty bad so I'm going cover protect what-ever I can, and rust proof after that. Then on to enhancements, stock light LED replacement, and maybe a custom front hidden hitch (I made on for my last truck hidden behind the plate) for moving trailers around.
Not sure after that.........but it's enough for now...

Somebody suggested product for rust called Plasti-dip. You can buy it at Lowes its around $5-6. I bought it, but I havent try it. Its rust resistant.

I have used plast-dip before, but it's more like a rubberized coating best used if you can dip the entire item, painting in on may be tough but I don't know. Now If I could dip the entire bottom side of the car now that might work.....I plan to clean up the rusty areas or rust prone areas, then bring it in to have under-coated by Ziebart.

LOL....I like your post title. Take lots of pictures of the new addition when the stork drops it off. They grow old really fast but you'll have many fond memories.
