VSA Warranty Question?
Fidelity's parent company, JM&A is the Southeast USA Distributorship for Toyota/Lexus.
Fidelity Platinum is only retailed by OEM dealerships such as Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Audi, (Highline Autos) is the only exception.
Fidelity Platinum is the Factory OEM offering for all Volvos, Lotus and KIA in the USA.
Endurance and CarShield are not comparable and have nothing to do with Fidelity Platinum coverage.

Comparable to Lexus.
That's just an insult to our intelligence.
If you actually Were comparable to Lexus, Lexus could make you go away with just one sentence to it's dealers. "You may now sell OEM service agreements to vehicles that are out of our oem basic warranty"
That would by itself eliminate the need for your existence.
I will say that I saw what was said to be your owner's yacht a couple years ago. It was Most Impressive. It even had a helipad.

Here is probably The Most Important Fact, FACT to how ALL of these Magic Extended Warranty Bean Pole companies work.
You take you car to whatever service place you desire. They tell you what is wrong with it. Then they tell the magic bean pole people who are actually Hundreds if not Thousands of miles away from you and your car. It's then that without even looking at or touching your car they...hell, I dunno...rub the black glass magic 8 ball to see if it says Yes! Repair! OR Sorry, Not Today, to see if your repair gets covered.
Is that who you want to give your $3000 to?
Think along these same lines a bit more.
ALL these 3rd magic bean stalk Extended Warranty places are more than happy to sell you A Just As Good As A Factory Warranty on a car that is 1) PAST it's Own factory warranty timespan and or mileage. 2) They have Never Ever Seen or Laid their hands on or have Any idea to how it was maintained or not.
Is there any way in your mind that works as being a good deal For Both the car owner And the magic bean stalk warranty seller? AGAIN, IF you could do this and be Fair To All, Lexus would just sell these as bonafide Factory Extended extended warranties.

Aren't I better off sticking with and comparing prices only on a Lexus branded extended warranty? (even more so if prices are anywhere near comparable)? I know Bruce usually has great advice. Does anyone else have a knowledgeable opinion on this? (Trying to save time on unnecessary research by utilizing the breadth of knowledge this forum provides). Thanks
For $100 I would not even 2nd guess which one to buy. It's not like they are coming in $1000 cheaper.

You know, this actually solves a mystery for me.
Right before it's factory warranty expired, I bought a primo, low miles 2017 Camry from Lexus of Winter Park Fla. I really liked that car. I checked with both the Ocala, FL Toyota dealer and Lexus of WP. NEITHER WOULD SELL ME A FACTORY EXTENEDED. Buttt... They Both Wanted BAD to sell me some 3rd party extended "warranty". I told them if it didn't say from Toyota or Lexus Financial on it, I wasn't interested. I wondered both times why they wouldn't sell me a Factory warranty. Overhead is much Higher/commission Lower for the Dealership than some office only operation? I wish now I had at least heard who the warranty company was. I am betting now that it was these Fidelity people.
That would make perfect sense.
You have to agree that IT'S IMPOSSIBLE to run ANY warranty operation where you Don't See or Touch the car you are approving money to go to AS WELL as if you are Hands On with the car. Logic will tell you to stay in business you are going to have More "Not going to covers" than a dealership who can look at and touch the car they are covering the repair for.
More Refusals is going to likely result in more people raising hell.
Hence Fidelities 3.4 BBB score. This way, Fidelity can run what They Know is going to be a Heavy Complaint generating business and have that business Very insulated from Lexus/Toyota itself.

The site referenced does not provide any information other than to contact you for a quote. To be fair, would you mind publishing here the price for various year and miles combination, what is included and what is excluded as part of the overage? Lexus is very open about these details. It will be easy for us to decide if you are comparable to Lexus or not once we review price and T&Cs.

To: Fidelity Warranty,
Thanks for the information. Lexus does not sell VSA if the vehicle is outside basic warranty coverage (over 4 years old or more than 50K miles). So, if I may ask, what is the criteria to buy yours (specific to LC at least)?
And I think Bruce has a valid point on seeing the data w.r.t real world claim approval % to add credibility. I am going to ask the dealer tomorrow whether they are aware of your warranty plan/coverage and do they honor it.

I wish I had that claim meta-data, but understandably as only retailer, I can only speak for my specific Fidelity customers, and we have had no issues.

Your dealer's Finance guy is going to give them all roses and candy canes. His year end bonus will directly benefit from it. I made it Perfectly Clear to the Finance Manager at Lexus Winter Park that I ALREADY had my extended lined up with a Lexus dealer I KNEW he could never match. He STILL brought out the bight lights and bamboo splints to try and sell me. IMO, the guy to ask is the Service Manager while you tell him Off The Record and have a 20 folded up for him. Ask HIM how often Fidelity turns people down. HIS worker diagnosing the Won't Repair car cost the SVC MGR $ each time the repair gets turned down.

Hey Bruce…I am thoroughly enjoying your hostile and hilarious yet truthful commentary on this subject. 😉
I love passionate people. 😎
Ok, got a reply from the Service Manager.
"I don’t recall having much experience using that warranty company. I usually tell customers to steer away from other companies, because they often are a hassle to get claims completed for repairs and especially for them to cover the total cost on what it takes to make those repairs."
Unknown to dealer service department or not many using it. Hassle to get the claim approved and may not cover full cost. So, if both are comparable then Lexus warranty wins.

Anyways, this is not our first forum rodeo, and we can be found on all of these other's as well. This is not a "new" operation as many are familiar outside of the Lexus forum, with pushing 1,000 happy Highline Autos customers alone.
