I did get few quotes that are in line with what is posted here and one dealer quoted way too high. I spoke to the nearest dealer and they said the actual cost of the product for 10year/100K miles is $3,282 and their best price would be (as offered at employee discount) $500 over this amount (i.e. $3,782). So 3K seems well worth it for this car.

Since my post a couple years back Already had the lowest priced dealers in the country, did you call either of them? (Even though you are only $600 or so highter than I paid for mine 3 years ago.)

Sounds about right when you account for the fact that everything costs more with time. When I bought my car I told the finance guy who was pushing warranties that if I wanted one I'd just buy it during year 3 of ownership if I felt I needed to at that point, and he told me "that's a totally viable strategy just know you'll likely pay more by then because they never will cost less in 3 years than they do today" (buying from an alternate seller notwithstanding).

Two dealers quoted the same price as what was posted here. So nothing has changed yet for the VSA coverage. I am yet to hear from Evan Aldrich. Will share in case he quotes lower than others.

I just tried calling Evan Aldrich and he no longer works at Earnhardt. Could you provide the name and phone numbers for the other "Two dealers quoted the same price" that you mentioned in your post? Thanks

I thought meaning your price, Bruce. Sorry, my bad.

3. Troy Dietrich - Toyota of Greenfield -> $3,185 (indicated to be valid outside California)
4. Dealer near to me quoted $3,782 and confirmed it is their final price.

Here are the contact details:

Hey guys, I'd like to through our hat in the ring for extended warranty coverage, our Fidelity Platinum coverage is comparable to the OEM offerings, at often a better price, and accepted at all Lexus dealerships and licensed independents in the US/Canada, California and Florida residents applicable as well. The example below is in comparison with @CaryCatch post. Any '09 and newer, under 105K miles is eligible for coverage, unless you have a LFA

Lexus LC500/h Hybrid coverage and Convertible top mechanics included.
Under 10K miles

Fidelity Platinum:
120 months / additional 100K miles
$0 Deductible
-$3,108

ALL TAX INCLUDED

BullS.
I've never heard of any 3rd party so called Extended Warranty that's wasn't total BS.
You're comparable to Lexus? On what planet? You only score a 3.4 on BBB satisfaction on the planet the rest of us live on.
Any car person with 2 living brain cells know how y'all work. Or try to until like Carshield before they have to go out of business and change their name to Endurance.
But I'll say, you sure have a set coming to a knowledgeable car forum and trying to hawk your magic beanstalk seeds.

Fidelity's parent company, JM&A is the Southeast USA Distributorship for Toyota/Lexus.
Fidelity Platinum is only retailed by OEM dealerships such as Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Audi, (Highline Autos) is the only exception.
Fidelity Platinum is the Factory OEM offering for all Volvos, Lotus and KIA in the USA.

Endurance and CarShield are not comparable and have nothing to do with Fidelity Platinum coverage.

Aren't I better off sticking with and comparing prices only on a Lexus branded extended warranty? (even more so if prices are anywhere near comparable)? I know Bruce usually has great advice. Does anyone else have a knowledgeable opinion on this? (Trying to save time on unnecessary research by utilizing the breadth of knowledge this forum provides). Thanks

If you're eligible for the Lexus branded extended warranty coverage, like any OEM coverage, it is a place to start. It certainly never hurts to shop, Fidelity Platinum is kind of both OEM and 3rd Party coverage depending on the manufacture.
