I get conflicting messages.. Is it being discontinued after 2024 or will there be a 2025 model?

I cant image Lexus upgraded the interior just for 1 year but I have seen that happen with other models i.e. 1999 Honda Prelude and the 2000 (JDM only) Nissan 300zx... and these were exterior upgrades...

 

My guesstimate is there will be a total of 10 model years for the LC500 from 2018 - 2027.

 

they'll continue it till the new EV LC/RC replacement comes out. Which supposedly will be the next 2 years. 2025 with 2026 probably being the final year

 

I believe it will most likely be a 9 year run at best - as they did with each generation of the SC.

 

So in other words, no one knows.

 

My guess is there should be 2025 LC.
Lexus just updated the infotainment to touch screen for 2024, I highly doubt Lexus will make this update just to sell it for one model year.

 

The new Electrified version is supposed to run almost 3x the LC cost.
Lexus just won their division in IMSA racing. With their V8. It makes total sense to continue the LC as long as they are putting their V8 in at least 1 other car for sale.

It doesn't look like it will be available in Europe for 2025:

they are discontinuing sales of the LC500 after model year 2024 in England. not in the states.

 

if you check the numbers from the europe link above, they've sold - what - about 100 LC / yr there; not hard to figure why they'll
discontinue sales : miniscule ROI ..... imagine what they make per unit on these substantially made - to order works of art , at 100,000 ea....
not much ! we're lucky the takumi masters continue with them at all ...

 

Interesting - that doesn’t bode well for long term availability in the rest of the world. Based on this new info I’m going to revise my earlier guesstimate down from 10 to 8 model years from 2018 - 2025. It will be sad to see production end but at the same time the sooner the better as it will add to the exclusivity of owning one.

 

even if dealers know they won't say because they want to sell what they have or can get. but i doubt they know.

and certainly unlikely anyone here knows since the '24 just came out!

I predict another 2 years atleast. they wouldn't have refreshed the dash for just a 1 year run. I wouldn't be surprised if another minor refresh occurs too

 

this truly is the last hurrah for our NA V8's. LC's are expensive to make and im pretty sure they've lost money on every single car due to how few units they moved globally. Loss leader and flagship ala LFA
