Default Lag in acceleration..weird hesitation

So I've had my 19 LC500 for a couple months now. I only have 16K miles on the car and mainly drive on the weekends but I've noticed very weird acceleration lag and jolting at times and the car just seems "off". Its mainly around lower speeds but in my opinion a car of this caliber shouldnt have these issues. I'm just wondering if anybody else has dealt with this or should I look to take the car into a dealer.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

This is a common issue with this engine and transmission when it is cold. Once the motor reaches standard operating temperature, do the issues persist?

The transmission sucks finding low gears, that's for sure. Jolting, hesitation....

Thanks Kenny and 355. I'll keep an eye on it if its mainly when first driving when engine is cold. But yes I notice today even on down shifts you definitely feel some sort of rapid deceleration.

Long shot guess here but increased engine braking along with less smooth downshifting is a side effect of doing the LC500h diff swap - see sticky thread entitled:

“Replacing LC500 torsen diff with LC500h one!”

Try doing a 0-60 run, if you get in the low 4’s you probably have the LC500h rear diff. If you get in the mid 4’s than you probably don’t have the LC500h rear diff

could also just be stability control holding the car back if you're hoofing it.

are they original tires?

original tires. still a little tread left on them, but she's do for some new tires.

This is under normal driving conditions just driving around my neighborhood. When I open it up in manual mode, this thing moves.

This is happening in sport+ mode and after it fully warms up?

It takes about 5-10 mins.

The chances of him buying a diff swapped LC 500 are close to none and an acceleration test being the way to confirm it is just absurd lol!

Every new owner asks exact same questions. I asked same because I couldn’t understand it. Then I just get used to it and now it is pretty normal. Also I woul recommend put it in comfort mode, you will see that car will behave better. Then place display gear on your dash and see current gear, so you better understand what transmission does and you will adjust yourself to the way how it works.
enjoy, don’t panic
