Any members in here have any experience removing the lower/larger chrome exhaust housing pieces on this car? I want to wrap or paint them black. These are pics I found on the internet and any help on what to remove to get these suckers off would be appreciated. I only have a standard jack and unfortunately no lift.
Bumper removal is not necessary. I had my diffuser partially blacked out with carbon fiber tape. No removal necessary.
But if I want to paint the larger bottom chrome pieces they would most likely need to be removed. I might just purchase some Hyperdip spray and see how that comes out. I can probably spray it on without removing anything.
Perhaps I'm reading this wrong, but as "sickpuppy" says, you shouldn't need to remove the rear bumper but the file I posted earlier might be a bit misleading. It seems to me you need to remove the black plastic bumper center section as detailed and shown on page 4 onwards and then you should have clear access to the chrome surround or at least its support elements.
So in other words start at page 4 and then progress to page 3.
