Default Paint/wrap color match headlight surround?

I've done a bunch of searching, but haven't been able to find anyone who's done this yet... thinking about painting/wrapping the gray headlight surround to match the body color on my mica nightfall. I know it's a little thing, but ever since the car came out, it bothered me that the gray breaks up the design flow up front. Maybe it's just me, but I have seen people paint/wrap them black so curious if anyone has color matched them yet? And excuse my terrible amateur photoshopping... but you get the idea (not my car, btw).

It is your choice obviously, but with loosing accent piece the look you made is quite boring.

Thank you for your opinion. I’m more looking for an answer to my question… but I appreciate that you are concerned about my car looking boring to you.

I would wrap it first to see if you like it, then paint it permanent.

Yeah, I'm stopping by a shop tomorrow to look at wheels, and going to ask them about wrapping it and doing chrome delete on the whole car. I worry about having to get the wrap custom made to match the paint vs just black. We'll see what they say.

my personal opinion. It makes the headlights look too small if you body color it.

Also tell those guys to be really careful with that gray plastic trim piece close to the headlight. My wrap guy said that piece is very delicate and in order to do it right, you need to disassemble it from the headlight unit. There isnt that much plastic for the wrap to hang on to, so they better use a very thin wrap (3m or avery) to do it.

If you break that particular plastic trim i believe its like 2k to replace....
