Sundriver post #103. "I didn't read every post (stopped at page 3) but in reading the last it seems to have gone unanswered. Though I do recall this post from a different thread." Exactly my take.

Years back I obtained a vehicle equipment list from Jeep using the VIN. I don't recall how but through corporate. It was exhaustive. Haven't explored how to access from Lexus, but, if available, betting each of us could answer the cooler question for our LC.

Don't own an LC but was thinking of buying one. Forgive my ignorance, but was reading this thread and found this site:

https://parts.prestigelexus.com/a/Le...514.html#32917

Part 32910M links to a radiator of some sort for sale for $410. Is this not a transmission cooler or is it an oil cooler or something?

^^^^Looks like the link above has PNs that were not in the diagram I posted, specifically:

The Oil Cooler Raditor - PN 32910-11020

The Oil Cooler Duct - PN 32917-11010

Hey Lou, did you end up getting together the parts needed for this install? I am putting together a tabulated listed for the diff install (Bolts, seals, etc.), and saw your attempts at trying to get such a list for this mod.

Thanks!

Ended up putting together a list and located "all" the parts. I'll drop a parts list upon installation if folks are interested. Install will probably be February.

Tentative Parts List
Merry Christmas, all!

I purchased the parts listed below based on the diagrams discussed. I am waiting for a quote from the same shop that performed my Hybrid diff upgrade. Amayama cancelled 90% of the parts, so it seems like Tosshin is the only semi cost-effective way to do this, with a couple of parts only available at dealers (notably the air duct).

I plan on eventually making a post similar to the one I made for the hybrid diff swap.

Tentative parts list, pending install confirmation. The Yellow highlights indicate items I could not buy from Tosshin, and instead purchased from local lexus dealer.

Very interested in the follow up post for this. If this is truly the cost of parts, I would 100% do it. That's pretty fair pricing.

Received a few of the parts and started thinking - it would be interesting to understand just how many of these parts are available for this upgrade, given there are only so many US LCs with it from the factory/ Japanese LC500S's. I had the same thought when I did the hybrid upgrade, given how few were sold. Makes me wonder how feasible these OEM upgrades will be whenever production ends. Or perhaps Lexus is sitting on massive min-buys of these things 🤣

Three questions to the experts:
1- Would this fit 2018 model without issues? i do high rpms most of the time

2- Is it possible to order these parts from Lexus through the dealer?

3- How many hours are expected to be charged if done at the dealer?

Thank you

I thought about buying an L500h differential for that upgrade once out of warranty, and that got me thinkin I may wanna add these cooling bits as well if I do. Decided (at least for now) that without track use I shouldnt need the cooling. Still on the fence about buying and storing the diff for later use.

I honestly feel like the diff would be fun for a while but ultimately wouldnt significantly increase how much I love this car since my main love of it is just cruising and occassionally getting hard on the throttle for grins. I dont drive it super hard, so I wouldnt be "using" the increase from the diff much anyway.

It's such a refined and amazing car, the pinnacle of Japanese grand touring that will likely ever be produced. I just cant bring myself to justify any changes.

If I couldve gotten the cooling and diff from the factory I'm sure I would have. But as it is Skye, aka Ryujin Skye (her formal name), doesnt need any changes at all.

A minor update - received all the parts, just haven't had the time to mess with the install. Life and all that. I'll make a follow up when I eventually give it a shot - until then the parts I mentioned earlier are in my garage haha

My identical sentiments. FYI.

I've seen much talk about converting to the 500h diff but not why. Is it a different ratio than the 500 oem ratio or what? Thanks
