You can certainly check with the dealer but unless you are in real estate and constantly going to new developments or you live in a "boom town" (like Tyson's Corner, VA) where there massive amounts of new construction, maps that are even 4-5 years old aren't usually an issue.
I highly doubt they will do it. I understand where you are coming from though. From what I was told by the Tech guys at Lexus/Toyota Headquarters is that they develop 1 new map update per year. Every car made after that date will get that new update, until a new update is put out a year later. I wish they would be at least 2 a year, but I'm sure they only do 1 to keep costs down. It is worth a try though! Maybe your dealer will update it for you, however, I don't think a newer version of the software is due out for another month or so.
