Default 2007 IS 250 Won't Start

My 2007 IS 250 will not start. There is no power at all on the car. I tested the battery with a volt meter 12.8 on the battery posts. I cleaned and reattached the terminals, I checked the voltage on the terminals and I'm also getting 12.75 there. The key fob will not unlock or lock doors. The lights under the side mirrors will not light up when the key fob is near the car. I replaced the battery in the key fob with a brand new battery (hopefully good). Fuses all appear to be good.

Does anyone have any idea on what to check next?

My '07 iS250 wouldn't start at all on Monday. It was about 8 degrees outside and the car was buried in snow for about 4 days (was away visiting family). Tried starting the car and got the fast clicking sound at first and then no power at all. It took jumping the car a few times before it would start. Ended up having to replace the OEM battery with a BOSCH Premium Performance Battery.

seems like your keyfob battery dead, how did you unlock the doors? have you tried using the keyfob to touch the start button?

Default Update 2007 is250 not starting issue

Update.
I pulled the car battery out and had it load tested. Battery checked out good.
Left the battery out for a couple of days and then put it back in. After a couple of days the power came back on in the car. Headlights and dashboard all powered up with the key fob inside the house.
The car wouldn't start and sounded like a low battery when attempting. I hooked up a battery charger and had power but no starting. I switched the battery charger to 50 amp boost for jump starting and the pressed the start button. The power completely died again like the original issue.

I had the car towed to Lexus dealer and after over 4 hours of diagnosis, they still can't tell me what is going on with the car.

Any one want to buy a $17,000 paper weight?

That shouldn't happen. Are you sure the spare key wasn't in the car or your pocket? If I place my key on the roof, and slide the sunshade closed, I get "Key not Detected".

No, I was at work and my wife was backing out of the driveway when she noticed it. The key fob was in the house, upstairs on our bedroom dresser.

Sounds like there is a spare key inside the car and the battery is draining having a conversation with the key in the car.

That's a good call. The only problem with that theory is that he would never be able to lock the car--he'd get the 4 beeps when he pressed the lock button on the door handle. You have to lock with the button on the fob if the other key is in the car.

What is the temperature like where you are? How old is the battery? What is the cold cranking amps of the battery. I'm almost positive it is your battery. It has happened to be before when some batteries internal cells go bad. They will test fine for voltage but wont have the power to actually start the car. Do you have another car you can pull the battery from and test it? preferably something with better CCA.

Dont try to jump start it but completely disconnect the battery from the other car and only start your car. Sometimes when temperatures reach below zero temperatures, disconnect the battery and take it inside for the night. Hook it up to a tender to get the fluid in it flowing if you suspect the battery is still good

Sounds like a bad ground. Had a similar issue on my Chrysler. Bad ground and car tweaked a few times when starting especially if it sat a few days

Sorry for the very late update to my issue. Chilexus your are correct it was a bad ground. My service tech finally located a bad ground, got it cleaned up and I've had none of the issues since then.
