Right rear door chime/warning...when door is closed

Ok, so I've had this problem mainly in the mornings starting this fall...as it is now getting a lot cooler in the mornings. It first started doing it only when getting aggressive in a left-hand turn. But as of this morning, it is now doing it in VERY slow left-hand turn and going straight sometimes. Had my fiance in the car with me this morning, and she was getting more ticked off than I had been. When the warning on the cluster shows up the dome light turns on, a chime dings, AND sometimes the car unlocks all of the doors at speed.
So, I'm just curious if others have experienced this problem and what you've done to fix it. To see if it helps, I've glued a simple, small slab of rubber from an old hood stopper and glued it onto the plastic door molding where the door switch meets the door when closed. Hopefully its a simple fact that the plastic door molding over time has compressed and is now further away from the switch when the door is closed and is not closing the circuit intermittently . The addition for the rubber should hope close that gap.
I'll see in the morning if this fix worked...hope that is all it is.

So far so good. Guess the piece of rubber was just enough to push the door switch trigger in that much farther to close the circuit. The true test will be early tomorrow on the way to work I guess.
