Default AirBag light ON *with resolution**TSB*

Car:
2006 IS350
46900 mile on ODO (off bumper to bumper warranty based on time not miles)
Stock with joe z intake pipe.

Problem:
About a 2 weeks ago I noticed my airbag light was on while driving. Restarting the car seemed to solve the issue at first, days went by and I never saw the light again. 3 days later light was on again. I had to restart the car 4 times before it went off. I did some searching on this site and found other people with the same issues, but I found no resolution to the issue.
4 days ago same thing happened so I drove it to the dealer with the light on.

Result:
They called me the next day to tell me that a wire harness was bad but that there is a TSB and it is covered under the Restraint system warranty of 72months 70000miles.
The TSB number is L-SB-0167-08.
The part number and description of the part replaced is:
82141-53A80 Wire, Instrument

I am attaching a scan of the TSB, but I was only able to get the 1st page.....
IF anyone can get the whole TSB and attach it here it may help others.

Just helping out....

Funny, they always love to charge you a grand at least if it is anything that requires insider knowledge. I love clublexus for that very reason and sewellparts.com. Great to know this is a warranty thing though. My pregnant wife is driving my IS 350 while we look for her Mommy SUV to buy. I get the old 4Runner for now.

Thanks for the details, guys!

Nothing wrong here but just curious, if you have an 06 aren't you out of warranty?

My light came on about a week ago too. Do most of you bring in the TSB? This is what CL is all about, helping each other out!

hmm ive been having this problem for quite a while now but never bothered to look into it until now. the light intermittently turns on and off. the light will be on for some start-ups, and not for others. its good to know theres a tsb on it thats covered under a 70k mile warranty

If it's a TSB it should be covered out of warranty as well.

Nope. Only recalls are covered outside of the warranty period. Sometimes dealers will do it out of courtesy or goodwill but that is usually not the case.

Are you talking about when you just start the car? The lights stays on for a few seconds and turn off, that's normal and if it doesn't then there's a problem.
