Odd thump sound when braking and accelerating

Lately when I start driving my car and I brake after pulling out of my driveway I hear an odd thump sound right when I press the brake. Like something moves and hits something. This also happens when I accelerate but only right when I'm starting to drive. After I've been driving for a while it seems to go away or I just hear it less. Has anyone had this problem? Time to take it to the dealer?

had the same exact problem never found out what caused it but it went away think it was from the cold or something like that

I got the same problem! Thought it was coming from my glove box, but nope. Sound like it's coming from the right side under the hood.
