2010 IS F won’t start overnight
Got a really weird problem, my car won’t start overnight. Doesn’t crank, dash quickly turns on then off, all electronics in the car ie gps radio lights work. Brought it to Toyota to get diagnosed and they told me it’s the Power Source Control ecu that needs replacing. Once the car starts once and runs for a bit, it starts perfect everytime until the next morning. They have a temporary setup for me to start the car by touching 2 added wires hanging from under my glove box(told it is bypassing the issue) Wondering if anyone has had this issue and whether Toyota has got it right, gonna be an expensive fix. More backstory I had the car a couple weeks with no issues, got it rust proofed and re-mounted the battery as it was loose/incorrect and now this problem has started.
I’ve tried holding the button, different key, new battery for key
look forward to some advice/info!!

What is the system voltage when you hit the start button? Is it dropping below 9.5v? If it is, you need to sort out the battery issue. Might also be a bad ground connection at the chassis if you live in a place where corrosion is significant.

While we don’t want to pry, will you please share the cost? Some other members over the years have faced this same task. It would be helpful to have a ballpark figure.
Current part is 89670-53090. It replaces the original part 89670-53010. Retail is $1045.39 USD. Sounds like they've been through a few revisions on this piece, and it might very well have something to do with these no start after battery voltage drops conditions. Has anybody looked in the 2IS forum to see if this is also impacting the 250/350 community? I know I have not, but it would seem a good idea.
