The SST for the fuel pressure sensor is not needed. There is no reason at all to remove the HP fuel pressure sensor, and the FSM actually does not have any procedure for doing this outside of Safety Recall ELF, and the tools used for that recall are not generally available to the public. Lexus will not sell you a pressure sensor, they will only sell the rail with the sensor already installed.

There is no magic tool for connecting the high pressure fuel lines. All you need is a standard flare crowfoot and a standard torque wrench. That's how I did mine when I did the valley plate repair on my car last October. Piece of cake.

Welllll, that is what I was referring to. Sorry should have been clearer. When I pulled mine apart to do the valley plate sealant, I decided to pull the Fuel Pressure sensor for access to the plate. BEFORE reading up on the ELF recall and it's specific tools and torque angle gauge for tightening the sensor! Just wondered if anyone else has dealt with theirs? Thanks for the insight.

Default Direct injector replacement

Any ideas what I need to replace other than the obvious injector? Seals as well? Any concerns or cautions before pulling that fuel rail? I have never messed with direct injection before. I will google the part number for that injector and any advice is appreciated.
How did you fair, were you able to replace yours? Any pointers from you experience would be awesome. I am currently in the exact situation. I removed/resealed the valley plate and also the valve covers. I did the same thing and broke a couple of passenger side direct injectors which now must be replaced. I ordered them but would love some first-hand knowledge before I start.

It is definitely time consuming and daunting. You will basically be doing the same procedure as the valley plate repair. Parts will be everywhere and you have to be organized. The intake has to be removed, which involves getting a lot of parts out of the way. Once the intake is off, you can get to the injector rail. The difficult part is getting to the high pressure fuel rail.
